I find it odd we call 'doing your job' patriotic and courageous. Pence should have conceded in November, but he didn't, and he hung on and hung on and hung on and only at the zero hour after conversations with other scholars did he finally do his job.
Right, he did the bare minimum. If he were a real patriot, he would have invoked the 25th amendment on Jan. 6th. I understand where VP Harris is coming from, though. She is trying to show that she wants to work with both sides, which is what is needed right now.
I hear you, but it was not Pence's job to make that concession speech in November, it was Trump's.
I am glad to see Republicans willing to put country over party, it shows a devotion to the constitution and the USA. If the Republican party is ever able to put themselves back together after Trump, I am sure the policy differences will continue, but maybe with more civility as it used to be. It's a simple idea and I'm glad that so many Republicans are finally getting it: if they vote Harris into office and if they decide as her Presidency goes on that they don't like what she is doing, they will be be able to oppose her in Congress, present alternative policies, and at the next election campaign against her. But if they vote Trump into office, they will just have to do whatever they're told whether they approve or not, on pain of being punished, and with no chance ever of voting him out.

There is, in my opinion, a problem with denialism, partisanship to the point of falsehoods, and outright lying. We need to get to the point in this country that no matter what party you belong to, you give credit when credit is due. We can disagree, criticize policies based on facts, and present alternative policies. What we can not continue to do is aire the propaganda laced with hatred, lies and, fearmongering to scare the population into voting a certain way. It is tearing this country apart.
