Haters Back Off is a Netflix original television comedy series based on the UA-cam character Miranda Sings created by Colleen Ballinger. The "surreal and absurd" series centers around the family life of Miranda Sings, a sheltered, self-absorbed, overconfident and untalented young performer who seeks fame on UA-cam.
The half-hour episodes depict Miranda's road to fame, and the price she pays for trampling on the feelings of others.
The show stars Colleen Ballinger as Miranda, Angela Kinsey as her mother Bethany, Steve Little as her uncle Jim, Francesca Reale as her sister Emily, and Erik Stocklin as her best friend and love interest, Patrick. - Розваги
I love how Miranda is a comedy actress and this is supposed to be a comedy show but there are so many sad parts and the ending of season 2 gets me every time

Came into the show only hearing about the Sings character. I was surprised how dark the show got in this episode, not just in terms of the storyline but how it's filmed. You get a whole season of the director showing you Miranda mostly through the lens of every other character seeing how ridiculous she is. The moment she goes to sing "I Will Always Love You," it's like a switch flips and you're seeing the world through her eyes. It turns the whole thing on its head and makes you feel bad for a character that for all intents & purposes is the world's most selfish, untalented and unaware asshole.
And the ending captures an additional tragic element of the character beyond her unawareness of how she comes off to everyone else: She's not even aware of why she wants what she wants. She wants to be famous, but has no one to share her newfound fame with, and she's mentally incapable of making the connection that there's something more than mere clicks that she wants.

this is how i always view miranda’s character, suffering from bpd and characteristics of narcissism. i will always love this show but i no longer support colleen ballenger as a person.

Angela Kinsley looks more natural as a brunette than a blonde.
I know that's unrelated, and she's not in this scene yet, but it's just something I needed to get off my back.
I keep watching this and it’s spoiling me
As much as I hate Colleen and this show, it has genuinely good and amazingly emotional moments. This perfectly describes loneliness. Tearing everyone away from you without realizing it until you desperately need them again.

@Mark120a she intentionally ruined her sister's art and ruined her relationship with her family and friend. An unforgivable decision, yet you sympathize for everyone who suffered by the hands of Miranda, and then you get to sympathize for Miranda also. The girl who caused all this drama, is highly egotistical, will reject anyone for fame, apparently can feel regret. Also she's clearly not mentally prepared enough to live by herself.
I personally think season 2 explores Miranda's backstory well better, with her father, and you just feel even more remorseful there than here. Sad to see this show gone now, because it had a lot of decent comedic tone but I feel like it ended perfectly, although the Colleen part would've had more potential.
