Sorry to see some of your vids deleted. I've learned a lot from following your progress and appreciate all the information you have provided. I tried one of your methods with the sight picture and the halo around the target Friday and got very good results with the circle insert. Thank you!
You are the most highly skilled and amazing marksman I've seen in 55 years of hunting and shooting. Thank you for every video and all of information you share.
Your video’s, shooting, and knowledge are impressive. Im fairly new to this but I’m very intrigued and all in. I hear you talking about fouling and swabbing, i would stand to learn a ton if you’d do a video on this. Thanks in advance
Most impressive! Of course it should be repeatable. But only after due diligence is exercised by the guy (or gal) doing the shooting. Obviously, based on your previous videos, these three hits were no accident. Well done!
Thanks for sharing your information and passion with us. You have really helped my Dad and I out in getting better performance out of our muzzleloaders. I was really sad to lose all your other videos off your channel. Are they gone for good ?
Very interesting and educational as always, I’m surprised at the expansion at that range. I wonder what a shot in ballistic gel would look like. That would sure be cool if you could capture a bullet at that range. I don’t know if that’s ever been done. 45 gal drum of water would do it. What is your procedure for swabbing in between shots, if you don’t mind saying
My dad had a 50 caliber Hawkins Thompson center in the 70s he said he shot into a sand bank with a maxi ball and dug it out he said it went in all the way passed his armpit about a foot passed his hand then he shot it with a 30-06 in the same spot he said he dig that out didn't go that far into the sand bank he said that only went a foot or so he said he couldn't believe how much power that muzzleloader had I found one the same Hawkins Thompson center 50 caliber for $20 bucks had a round ball stuck in it and someone just had it sitting around their house for years I gave it to him a couple of years ago and he totally redid it reblued the barrel and refinished the stock cleaned it up now it looks brand new he took it out and shot it and he was happy told me thank you idk he always talked about it and how he would like to get another one someday so I figured I would give it to him since I already have 2 muzzleloaders anyways and I have 54 calibers and don't feel like buying all the stuff for the 50 caliber
Enjoy your video's, but would like to see your loading procedure with the grease groove bullets. Do you shoot bore diameter bullets, or groove diameter?
Hello , great videos keep them coming. I bought a green mountain lrh barrel.45 cal and I am having trouble with the thimble screw allowing me to put the green mountain fiber ram rod in. Help?
I am 99% Sure they use a T8 Torx Head Screw to attach the Thimbles to the under rib, I just had to tighten one up on this Rice .50 Cal & it was T8 Torx Head
Idaho lewis . No I wanted a sling swivel so I took one from a tc and put it on the GM. But the screw is hitting the ramrod and not allowing it to slide through. Something idaho Ron suggested.
No I haven’t, I actually plan to though, i just haven’t had a chance to get to it. I plan to compare several different Powders in an Accuracy comparison test soon 👍

After watching several of your videos i must say, my hats off to you. You're the real deal.
Outstanding shooting Lewis! You’re an inspiration to cast and shoot better. Thanks for sharing your knowledge in all of your videos.

Hope they are not gone for good. Learning a Lot from ya Idaho. Just picked up a Lyman GPR .54. And installed the Lyman peep and globe.
That’s amazing

Would the wind be the culprit you shooting is from left to right, you do amaze me, wow factor as usual
Great 👍👍👍 shooting!! I would hate to get 🎯 hit with one of those bullets. I bet that would really hurt 🤕🤕, but only for a short while!!
impressive
Outstanding
idaho try those .540/750's at 1200 !!!!!
Wow
how the heck do you do that without a scope??????
Just curious and off subject but what dia do you size the slugs you use for paper patching? Some where around .493+/- ?
I am looking forward to getting my 50 and shooting long distance also. May be we could shoot together one day?

Is the Thimble loose?

@@kevinokey4394 Ok, those ones bolt through from the opposite Side, That is your problem.
Idaho lewis ok thanks I will try that
Idaho have you compared Swiss powder to Grafs or a substitute like Pyrodex?
No I haven’t, I actually plan to though, i just haven’t had a chance to get to it. I plan to compare several different Powders in an Accuracy comparison test soon 👍
@@idaholewis265 Be interesting to see since I have like 20 pounds of grafs lol
How Many Grains of powder are you loading with? And what powder are you using?
100 Grains of Swiss 2F Powder
Great shooting, but shooting over roads or trails is a big no no on public land. More power to ya if it's your property obviously
What happened to all your videos? Several are gone. Needed to review one on bottom pour lead pot and the size hole you increased it to?
I just sent off a .50 cal 1" barrel to be cut to 54 cal 1:24 twist
Do you have any 54 caliber mold you want to sell just starting out
I do have, it is an awesome Mold, a design of mine
This is the Bullet in action, The Mold is a Single Cavity Brass Mold. ua-cam.com/video/y21Y_2Gq8o4/v-deo.html
What is the mixture of pure lead or pure lead 2 or no mix just one or the other for a 54 maxiball hunter 430 grain bullet which lead you recommend
