Man. I love this dudes energy. I've been binge watching him for a bit, some of the projects I've done before and others Im planning on doing. Have had this vinyl in my garage for 6 mos and been holding off but at the end when he admitted it was his first time, It got me off my lazy ass and its going on tonight! Keep it up, hope this channel and your business blows the f up! 👍👍👍👍
I’m grateful for your compliments and being an inspiration, no matter what the job is confidence is all you need.
Thanks for checking out the videos and the support.
Great job as always Bro
Thanks I appreciate that
you are an artist. well done.
Much appreciated
We did this back in the 1980's with spray can tint on our headlights & taillights..the trick was to only apply a light coat to not attract the Cops stopping you..Good Job with the tint film👍
Thanks and I never imagined the tint cans being sprayed in the 80’s, I’m sure they were much more strict about tints back then.
@@newtouchauto I also blacked out the grill & headlight trim on my brand new 1981 GMC High Sierra Pickup with Flat Black paint..I think we were ahead of our time back then👍
@@stevedeleon8775 most definitely, this new technology had to come from somewhere first.
Great Video! Subscribed!
Thanks and I appreciate the support and watching the video.
What’s up my brother? I did the liquid tint a few weeks ago. It turned out beautifully. That was my first time. The only thing is, it won’t last long. I’m going to move up to the next level. I’m going to use the info from your video and do it myself. Thanks my brother. I will give you an update on how it turned out.
How’s it going? Yeah the liquid tints will only give you about 6-8 months, the film tints are definitely the way to go. I have a more descriptive video uploaded on installing tints if you’re interested.
You always do a great job. It seems like this is a lot more work than spraying them.?
Thanks I appreciate that but actually it’s a lot easier. Once you learn the techniques of handling the film this could easily be a 5-10 minute project. With spraying you have to follow the full process which could be 30 min - 1hr when you include prep work but of course to each their own.
I may have to give it a try on my '06 highlander
@@alanstimson8359 hey why not, thanks for checking out the video.
Thanks man - will a blow dryer have the same effect as heat gun?
You’re welcome and yes, you can use a blow dryer in place of a heat gun.
Is this ok also on the headlights? Nice
Yes but I suggest a light smoke tint and not dark, you’ll need the headlights to shine through as much as possible.
Why did you dip your car and not remove the dealer sticker?
Because it’s removable paint, why do all the extra work when it’s designed to be peeled away over time.
Great question by the way, I guess I’ve been doing it for a while and some things aren’t worth the time when it’s not a permanent finish.
How long to take it?...and hpw much fo da shop doin her for
Once you learn the techniques of handling the film this could easily be a 5-10 minute project. When it comes to pricing every shop will have their own cost and options.
@@newtouchauto u mean minus letting the wheels dry and maybe some Masking, you're quick I can tell.
I got reg wheel paint and a pearlescent over coat I hope I can pull off I've been practicing Old headlights, bottles
@@freedompioneer4311 are you referring to light tints or something else? I’m confused about your question
@@newtouchauto yeah a lighter tint for windows and tail lights I wish I could send you pics on here
@@freedompioneer4311 oh okay, now I can’t speak for window tinting bc that’s a different process with a different film
Yo yo what's the word
You tell me
Why wouldnt you just take the lights out so you dont have to cut against the car and you can wrap around the edges? Seems like it might be easier!?!?
Great questions
Actually it’s easier to wrap tail lights on the car because it keeps the light steady. I was a rookie at the time of this video but after becoming a professional I no longer need to mask around the lights. It’s a common practice to display masking around lights because it’s the safest way to prevent cutting on the vehicle. Also the goal isn’t to wrap around the lights, no need to treat Film the way you would car wrap. Cutting at the edges is the goal for a successful finish.
