I can only imagine the eclectic collabs she would have done, Selena & Adele, Selena produced by Mark Ronson... dude she would have been unstoppable. South Texas was never the same after the day she died frfr
She would of made a killer rock album, country ,rap etc. any way she wanted to sing it. 🎤 ❤🎉 or any thing she wanted to. Her story will always be told.. never forgotten…🎉
Selina’s voice has so many textures & layers... the sound that comes out is so rich... she was only 22 or 23 on this recording, yet she has such a seasoned voice I could listen to her sing the dictionary & it would sound amazing!
I heard this song for the first time in my life about an hour ago. I had to play it a few more times. What a crazy collaboration. I Love it so much. I'm so happy Selena got the opportunity to work with David Byrne. Man, just imagine if she was still here? R.I.P. Selena.
Al ver un shorts de UA-cam de Jamie Lee Curtis mencionando a Selena, me hizo buscar este temazo y aquí estoy disfrutando de él 😉👍🏼 Grande Selena La Reina del Tex-Mex... Rest In Power Queen... We Love You Forever ❤️❤️❤️
A pioneer in Tex-Mex music’s unique rhythms, Miss Quintanilla. Mr. Byrne ‘s musical genius recognized her and was therefore her first collaboration. RIP Selena
I wore this song out when I got her album back in the day. Still such a powerful, beautiful song. They complimented each other well. Selena’s voice is out of this world.
Wow! I had forgotten how good this track is. I can imagine her dancing to this with a flamenco style which she had already incorporated into her dance moves. I think she would have gone with the full flamenco style dress for the video that style was so her you could see it in her designs. But this only exists in my imagination and we will never know. We miss you Selena Rest In Peace.
I didn't even know that was talking heads lead singer 🤷 I was listening to the video I could get used to you with someone recommended that I watched this song or video well there's so much I don't know about Selena
This song always reminds me of a Frida Kahlo art exhibit I have been to. It became one of my favorites. Selena as a person and as an artist was so versatile and adaptable.
When this came out I had to listen to it twenty times a day for months. Girls literally clammered to dance with me to this because they said I went into some sort of trans. Maybe the best song in my 58 years...❤❤❤
I heard this song again recently. I use to listen to it when I was young. I think of all this deportation of our fellow Latinos when I hear this now! How sad we have came to this! God be with the children and their families!
I fell in love with this song when I was 18,...just had my son and played this to help calm him at bedtime. He loved Selena's part. He is 22 and plays this for his baby boy now. Thankyou David and Selena.(R.I.P)
Okay I grew up listening to Sel after the fact that she has passed 😔🥀 but being in Mexico for some unecessary reason I did not hear this song until IG popped it out on a Selena fan page. I will owe them my whole entire gratitude. And thank God for you blessing us with the audio. My new favorite song from the Queen 👑 LongLiveSelena!!
This was my favorite fromnthe Dreaming of You album. Selena's inflection in all her songs...in this one...she is amazing. It breaks my heart that she is gone and so many missed out on watching her perform live and get more fantastic music and vibes. Ugh...so so sad but glad we got our reina for a bit. Rest in Peace Selena.
I to this say even after she died I still love it and still listen to it and could dance to it all day as well she was such a remarkable beautiful singer....
I got this CD in middle school. My boyfriends aunt had it. It had all of her big songs that we were hearing at the time on it. Like "Dreaming of You". I always like to hear the wholw album when I can. This instantly became my favorite. There's just something to it! And then "Gods Child" and Dance With Me?? If it wasn't for watching the Chris Perez interview , I never would have known this song existed. What a unique Duette combo and this was just the beginning of things to come for her. My heavy metal roots have been overtaken by the Tejano Queen. Missed my chance to see her live in Tampa FL 1995. Watching her live videos, She just took over and commanded the stage. So captivating.

I wouldn't doubt in the near future, the rich & greedy will pay scientists to find a way to re-create her, like a clon or something, using her bloodlines DNA... but Selena es unica! Rest In Peace ⚘
I wish there was a way to bring people back 😭😭 I think the only way to make this possible is to have some sortve hard drive that stores the brain activity/memories of a person day in day out. And then also to clone them with installation of their memories… doubt it’s possible but could you imagine bringing Selena back and her getting to enjoy everything once again. I would literally give my life if it meant bringing her back

Very cool song. I remember my mom buying this cd when it was released and I honestly didn’t like the album because I was so use to her Spanish and first English pop songs. This cd was different but a sign of changing times. I now realize this song seems cryptic and poetic considering she was murdered during this time.

Very timely now with the soon Abbott packing bags or his Hispanic wife and adopted blonde baby. Ayyyyy

David Byrne wrote this song, and it is quite a departure from Selena's typical genre.
Chris Perez said in an interview, if he had to pick a favorite song from the mainstream album, it would be this one. 💜💜 now i see why. #vivaSelena
