5:49 I went frame by frame and Kirby actually didn't touch the ground. Kirby moved close to the ground because of the stronk f-air. Doc's f-air always sends diagonally up. The collision didn't seem to be there but the model did shift
I'm a kirby main and, going by slo mo, I can tell you kirby definitely touched the ground. There was no green splash, but the animation that plays very briefly was actually a very specific animation that only plays when kirby is hit when lying down or during his tumble landing. He doesn't compress when hit in the air, and he doesn't compress when bouncing off or tumble-landing on the floor. The legs-out animation is specific to being hit while prone.
Looking at creative game modes people come up with makes me think that these should be official. Smash needs more game modes like these that are fun and creative.
I believe this kind of videos should be in a true Smashdown style, also to limit characters' use in certain modes like the payload, in which a player might show how to use a certain character to the other. Also this would implement a tactic side of the pentathlon due to limiting the adversary choices, but if this was to be the case, then the Smashdown-like character selection method should also be sustained by the randomness in the order of the "disciplines", which should be selected after one gained the victory in it so to mix up the chances a character already used would have been better or worse in throughout the whole games.
You should make a story-arc kind of thing in the intros. Also, it’s be cool if you played at the different stages sports you’ve made and name it something like smash olympics.
In these modes you should try PT, squirtle is the best in smashketball, they can combo you into up b which sends at the perfect angle and they don’t really get combod very easily, they also win neutral a lot, and charizard can back throw back air
I dont mean this sarcastically, this should absolutely be a real competitive thing, or maybe just a game mode or something. It requires you to input attacks correctly, to know how much knockback attacks have at X percentages, what direction attacks knock people back. The ball games could probably help you practice combos and read people's movements
I really wish these codes would last longer. Was trying to get these on my switch for a bachelor party trip and can’t get them :-( Nintendo should at least let popular stages stay up longer.
I think a good strategy for the payload might be just to fight the other person and once you have a lot of percent on them you can keep the other person away longer
Once this Pandemic is over, we should make tournaments like this, with teams like in crew battles, each player for each discipline Or You can play this disciplines in 2vs2 with guest players
