NWO Stevin Prize laureates 2023 - Corien Prins

Corien Prins (1961) is a vocal advocate of the role of knowledge in policymaking, but also knows better than anyone how difficult it is to put the theory into practice. As Professor of Law and Information Technology at Tilburg University and Chair of the Netherlands Scientific Council for Government Policy (WRR), she has made it her mission to explain to scientists how policy formulation works. She herself sets a shining example, bombarding policymakers with knowledge from her own particular discipline: the rights of citizens in an age of increasing digitalisation.
