So beautiful, Shelly.
I really love this lesson. The background and fuzzy edges were just amazing. Thank you.
Thanks Kris. I enjoyed painting in it.
Stunning. ❤
I love your work I watch your videos from hawaii🤙
Love the things you share. Thank you.
Love the glow with the yellow under painting
Thanks Joyce. I used that on the red tulip demo too.
Beautiful. Loved the way you did the background. Thanks
Thanks Sherry. I’m glad that you enjoyed it. 😊
As always, Amazing, especially the background! All Lovely!
I’m so glad that you like it PaM. Thanks so much for taking part 😊
This reminds me of my amaryllis painting. It had a lot of busy pedals. This tutorial is perfect
Thanks Doreen. An amaryllis would be lovely to paint!
Absolutely beautiful! That background and the poppy, oh!
Thank you. I'm so happy that you like it.
Superbe Superbe Superbe ❤❤❤
No sound, no subtitles, gggrrr You are SO precise.
I know right? I definitely need a tech person. I'm learning. Hopefully I've managed to successfully trim the 'silent movie'.
I just love this one. The background absolutely makes the flower and buds pop 😍😍👌
Thanks very much Pam 🌻😊
I grow lots of varieties of poppies in my flower gardens and have many beautiful pictures I could paint. I tend to overwork my floral paintings by using paint too thick for layers and maybe too many layers. I only use the best watercolor papers but I often wonder when is enough? I know know a layer can be partial and painted wet on dry and then just blended. I love your videos Shelley. If I can't watch the screen, I listen and STILL learn things. I'm so happy I found you. THANK YOU.
Wow just amazing & my favorite flower. Where I live we have fields full of poppies. Always wanted to paint them, now with your technique I dare to. Thank you Shelley. Big hug 🤗
Thanks so much Elza. Happy painting!
@@shelleypriorfineart 🙂👍
Love and appreciate your demos thank you very much.
Thanks so much Richard 😊
Hi it’s Queen 👋 FANTASTIC as usual! Thanks Shelley 🙏
Thanks very much Queen 😊
Your advice about when to stop and depth of field is really helpful. I learn a lot when you share the wrong way, as well as the right way, to use materials and tools with watercolour.
Different types of snow in the sky like light snow blowing off trees or a roof in the wind in sunlight (sparkling), falling on an overcast day, or falling at night in moonlight or with holiday lights shining through would be interesting.
Thank you for teaching. 😊💐
I’m so happy that you are finding value in my demos. I appreciate the ideas for future demos too. Thanks very much 😊
So happy you chose to not go with white background such a valuable lesson thank you
Love all your lessons! I would love to see crackle glass with a colored shadow.
Thanks very much Denise.
Awesome tutorial! Thankyou !
Thanks so much Sue! :)
Thanks nice Job i am getting so inspired of your works
Thanks very much Carina!
This is gorgeous! Is it possible to see the reference photo or outline? Thanks so much 🥰
Thanks Diann. I don't think I can post images here in the comments but perhaps you could take a screen shot of the reference in the video.
@@shelleypriorfineart I just bought two of your workshops. So excited to do them! (Also sent an email)
😮❤❤❤
Thank you so much!!
Thanks for watching ☺️
Hi from The Hudson Valley, New York
Hi Ellen. Thanks for joining in on the fun! 😊
I missed the part which you put something to draw the "hair" on the stems . Can you show me ?
Just scroll back to the start of the video. It’s all there 😊
Hi Shelley, could you please tell me if the brushes you’re using here are the Silver Brush Black Velvet brand?
May I ask….if you paint a dark background and forget to mask out your signature….what can you do?
I have done that many times. I will use an opaque colour in that case and paint on top. (Adding white to a colour will make it opaque)
How are the fuzzy edges made?😊
I repeat a lot because people miss important information. Sorry for the redundancy.
Could you show how to paint realistic hair
Thanks Kathie - added to my list 🙂
What is with a dead poppy? oh a pin, wow, what about watercolor? Is this a tutorial on how to put on a pin? Most people learned that at age 6. Maybe not in Canada.
LOL Nancy. Just a segway into the painting of a poppy. It amazes me how many people do NOT know how to pin a poppy.
Volume not working at beginning of video. FYI...
I know :( I had a glitch due to power outage which reset my sound.
What is the type large brush do you use on background for wet washes (black brush)? 17:19
It's a Silver Black Velvet 1" oval brush (brushguys.com and others stores carry it).
Where is the sound????????
Sorry about the absence of sound at the start. For some reason whenever my computer restarts it turns off the sound in my streaming software. Sound starts shortly after the beginning of the live stream
Cast shadow, bottom left looks like the head of a horse 🐴. Hee hee 😂
Lol I’ll never un-see that
