My partner at work, who became my best friend, introduces me to some of the best rap music ever! We work together undercover, we investigate employee theft and apprehend shoplifters, we make an awesome team. I swear, we laugh more than we work most days and I laugh so hard when he turns the volume down and apologizes when there is bad or offensive language used in the music he plays in our office. Took away a real one who was for his people,his community,wanted everyone to win he gave back,helped out made an impact in every way,thing and shape this man loved looking out for his people, the way a brother talks about his brother and tear up speaks volumes Nipsey was about family and he loved his family.Who ever is responsible for this tragic event I hope they get caught and get what ever punishment that they did to bring so much hurt and pain to everyone who knew and loved him.

I first heard of Nipsey Hussle when he came to Houston and stopped in the community somewhere midtown and a bunch of kids (young men) went to see him, he was like a block next to me, but I didn't go. Then I had a conversation with a coworker and I guess from us speaking he knew I had like Nipsey Hussle's mindset; I am all about self determination. But still I didn't pay enough attention to his music. I hit up my homeboy I was like I have "double up" on replay. He laughed at me, and was like, "am I following the trend?" I said, "no that he knows I am a real one 💯" I am more convinced now that spirit is everywhere. When I listen to the interviews of Nipsey Hussle, I see myself in him. I believe in self help. I am learning more about entrepreneurship. People come to my life and question why I make the choices I do. That I should just settle with using my gifts for myself and family alone. I am strengthened. Double up. Let's get this money.

I just wish this whole thing was a dream.... every time I think of Nipsey's death I just want to cry. This world makes no sense anymore. It's getting scarier and scarier... a young, innocent man shot for absolutely nothing!! Someone who was making rare changes to a place in desperate need of positivity and prosperity!
