2:40 'A patch of new paint is just as bad as a stain' symbolises how Don occasionally comes over and tries to bring some cheerfulness into Anna's dull life. This particular dialogue broke my heart.
Aside from Peggy and maybe Joan (whom he thought of more as a sister), this was the only positive relationship Don's probably ever had and that's saying something.

"I know everything about you and I still love you". Anna was so classy and loving.
when Ana is on screen, the show changes completly. I Miss her character so much.
She was a great person. After she died there's also this scene where Don sees her ghost saying goodbye to him.
@@TimmyTurner421 spoiler alert.
@@TimmyTurner421 With a suitcase heading off to heaven too, while him and Peggy were hashing out Samsonite.
I really feel like she was the best person on the show.
I've forgotten the links - Through death, deception and divorce she's his ex? The grocery lady is her sister? Who's "half his age?"
@@fiftystate1388 Anna's niece, the "grocery lady's" daughter. Don/Dick went out drinking with her.
Anna is Don's mother that he never had. She give his dead husband's name. She knows every Don's flaw but still loves him.
I also always got the older sister vibe! They're like siblings.

Right on.
Shit. Their acting is so good it’s like a slap in the face. Jon deserves an Emmy just for this scene.
It’s unfortunate that he had to compete with Bryan Cranston every year and only won the Emmy when Breaking Bad was finished.
She was an angel. We all long for someone who will truly know us, and love us for what we are, not how we could be.
Their relationship felt thicker than blood.
This is the love that I want and one that everyone needs
Yeah but penetration is good too
I want to marry Anna. Any man would be lucky to get a wife like that.
I passed on hotter ladies and married my version of Anna. Best thing that ever happened to me.

Was this the deepest relationship of his life
I would say the one with Don and Peggy
the most honest too
Probably Peggy, then her
The Anna character was not used to to its plot advantage. It the only time the Don Draper character was thoughtful and respectable.
That’s because he wasn’t don draper when he was with Anna. He was Dick Whitman

Hey! She's drinking a Coke!

is that svetlana?
Sopranos?

I got the same thought but it's a different actress.
Sorta look the same but Anna has both her pins

what does don say at 1:41?
"I count on it"
How is Anna half his age?
Not Anna, her daughter. Draper made a pass lol. As he does.
Most shows rarely make me cry.
