Italian fan here: thank you so much for speaking about Italian team and doing a serious analysis. To me we need to improve with the scrum, in touche and we need more solidity with nr9. Our nr 9 are different and play differently, which is good. But no one seems to be at the top, like they should be or like they are our nr 10 (Garbisi/Allan). I like Page Relo, he can kick and scoring 3 points, specially from far distance. Varney is sometimes too slow and predictable. Fusco is the fastest running and unpredictable, but he lacks still needs to grow tactically. I look forward to have back Allan. He is a great player and person. I wish our coach may develop new game strategies so to surprise the opponent teams. It will be an interesting six nations. I will be at the stadium vs Wales. I advice always rugby supporters to come to Olimpic stadium in Rome. It is an amazing atmosphere and Rome is unique. Thank you again for your video. As we say in Italian, buon rugby and Forza Azzurri! :)
You're welcome mate! Cheers for your insights. I will be interested to see if Allan gets any time at 10 this season. One of these days I'll have to head to Rome for a match! Cheers
@TwoCentsRugby you are welcome...and you will love Rome. Allan decided last season after the match versus England at the Six Nations to have a break and concentrate on his family. After all he spent a lot of time far from home and his loved ones in Italy. I think he will be back soon. He can play very well as 15 so as Nr. 10. We will see. Again, thank you for your analysis. I like your channel a lot. Great work. Cheers mate.
Your fascinating analysis provides a bird's eye view of a team most of us are not intimately familiar with. Heavily investing in young players must pay off at some stage. Hope you receive great comments from your Italian supporters when they come online later today.
Cheers TC! As an Irish man living in Sicily I've been enjoying watching this Italian team coming together. Rome's going to be a tasty place to visit for many years to come...although Rome is always a tasty place to visit! Good luck for the year, man!
Nice video! The depth compared to the past has increased a bit but shortages continue to remain in certain positions, most notably at 9 where I don't see a reliable high-level starter (at the moment I would start with Page-Relo and keep Fusco as an impact player). In addition, injuries always affect the same positions, for example Zambonin and Lamb😅 are injured. But also Mori and odogwu are not having consistency as centres, luckily there is the nice discovery of Bertaccini. This year then the Parma zebras are showing some good signs and there is a small group of interesting players, such as Canali (big but with less skill than Zambonin), Krumov, hasa , Licata, Di Bartolomeo, stavile, Ferrari and Gesi and Trulla (pani is injured and I doubt he will be there at 6n). Although most are 6,7,8 which is the most covered role in general. Those damn injuries, we've already given enough with Minozzi, Favaro, Polledri and Campagnaro (plus Morisi and Padovani back but at a much lower level).,😅 Bye!
Polledri was legit one of my favourite players man - I love stats and his were insane. Even when Italy were getting well beaten, he was one of the best players. His injury was really a terrible bit of luck!
Thank you for covering the Azzurri! Hope they'll keep on maturing until next World Cup. They are in the perfect situation to score their best performance ever. Short terms I am a bit worried looking at Benetton state of form. Still unsure if it's more about a coaching problem from Treviso or if it's the players. They seems a bit tired after this exhausting pacific tour tho. Hope they'll get their s. together coming 6N!
Frankly i tend to think that a full strenght Italy is as good as any in the 6 nations, or at least good enough to be competitive, but they lack depth, Quesada is a great coach but he will be in trouble if some key players get injured
so we also have a count after the baron Lo Cicero! I swear I didn't know that.😮 Thanks Mark for the very well done video! Zuzu (Zuliani) was the best ball hunter of the URC in 2024 with 1.6 turnovers every 80 minutes played, and the second was Spagnolo.
Thanks, great, for this video. I think Italy have yet very poor depth, specially in some positions, and they have the lightest pack, that is not a great thing. I hope this year that the youngsters will rise their level further more, specially Di Bartolomeo at hooker, Lamb and Zambonin at lock, Bertaccini and Marin at center, Lynagh and Gesi on the wings, Gallagher at fullback.
Yeah man hopefully more depth is built over the next couple of years. They're looking a bit vulnerable at the moment if some of the key guys pick up injuries
italy will finish 5th as they have a home game against wales i think they can win if they produce the goods i dont know there roster nor did i watch any urc im aware dragons & zebre side have italian guys in there maybe scattered other comps but round 2 is when italy play wales
@@TwoCentsRugby im just happy our season is almost up with super rugby & nrl & afl ... but yes battle of wooden spooners & id watch all 6 nations teams if im able to stream it or if its on youtube day after should be good
I also think we are superior at the moment but: a) we are having a lot of injuries at the clubs b) we are struggling to cope with the pressure of being favourites and Wales are more experienced anyway c) we usually play better in the last games rather than the first, partly because we have a clearer mind and partly because the staffs of the two franchises are not top level and therefore the players need to acclimatise to the national team at a higher level.
@@chrisilrosso95 yeah i wouldnt bet on it just a prediction lol but id watch the extended highlights 15-20 minutes i think against all blacks were some ok signs as nz lose 29-11

Thanks for the kind words - really appreciate you checking it out!
Grazie mille!! coming from an italian fan
Most welcome mate!
Grazie mille per il tuo interessamento al rugby italiano. Ti seguo per la tua capacità critica. Grazie ancora
Thank you my friend!
Thanks for the subtitles for the other languages!
No worries man - I don't use a heck of a lot of AI stuff, but for translation it works reasonably well

Ah man how's the weather in Sicily!? Usually hear about people ending up in Spain
@@TwoCentsRugby It's great, dude! It's a far cry from living on the west coast of Ireland getting blasted by the wind and rain!
Really appreciate this video, italy are my second team, and these are really interesting vids
Thanks for checking it out - good to hear you're backing the Azzurri!
Thanks for all the effort with the depth charts. It is very insightfull.
Cheers man, yeah they're a bit of a mission to make but I reckon they're interesting 😁
Great analysis. Love watching Italy nowadays. I hope they can get some consistency going this year!
Yeah man consistency will be a big step in the right direction
Thanks for taking the trouble to cover Italy like this
Cheers David!
Appreciate the videos!
My pleasure!
Would LOVE to see Italy kick on in this year's 6 Nations, another mid-table finish or better
Yeah man it'd be great to see them push on after showing some promise
thank you for this great video, congratulations.
Thank you for this !
You're welcome mate
Let's really hope this team will give more people reasons to talk about it. Thank you for the insight!
Cheers man yeah I hope so too!
Thx mate

Yeah man hopefully a bit more depth being tested in 2025 - maybe a little less taxing on the guys playing a lot of games/minutes
Frankly i tend to think that a full strenght Italy is as good as any in the 6 nations, or at least good enough to be competitive, but they lack depth, Quesada is a great coach but he will be in trouble if some key players get injured
Yeah I think part of the reason they've used the fewest players is having the fewest options - but man they've got some cracking starters aye
You can call sebastian N with his second surname "Da Oleggio" which indicate his "status" of Noble man .
Wow I never knew he had a second surname!
@TwoCentsRugby He is also a Count. You can find it the italian version of wiki.

@jaytua-l5d Yes some good signs especially in defence but deterioration in attack compared to last 6n.
