He made some inappropriate comments. Year's ago, so did Paula Dean, and many other people. I don't believe it was malicious, but that's my opinion. He apologized and moved on. Let's all do the same.
something we have learned over here in America is NEVER apologize.. if you meant what you said. They will destroy you anyway, thecancel culture cult. If it was a genuine slip of the tongue or a private thought among friends, then he needs a pass.

I absolutely love David Williams! He is a very big part of that show and I miss him. He has a great sense of humor. He’s absolutely hilarious. I mean, who doesn’t love David Williams? I sure wish they’d bring him back!

If it was said in private, it should have remained private. Who then transformed private remark into a public spectacle, costing David his position as a BGT judge? I probably have made comments in private conversations which cancel culture would find offensive, and thus I could be banned from whatever! If cancel culture can do it to others, then it can also be done to us!

Watching, listening, and waiting for their chance to take someone down. The world is ruled by bullies. Really, who is worse---someone who makes snarky remarks or someone who destroys a person's career and reputation? It seems like the punishment does not fit the crime.

No one is perfect. I think David is great and I think they should bring him back.
We all say things to people who we think we can trust. Things that are not politically correct. Or how we may have really felt about a situation but couldn't say it at the time without causing friction. Whomever is the one who turned on him is the one who was in the wrong. What a piece of crap. I have opinions about things in my own family that I don't voice to anyone because if it got back it would not be good, so if my friends turned on me and said something, I would feel betrayed. How awful and pissed he must feel, and angry to have to apologize for his opinion.
Its sad that what was said in private is judged and his talent becomes meaningless. So many people being judgmental and yet I wonder how many have either said or had inappropriate about their dislikes. A hypocrisy because its so easy to judge someone who is loved because they are a celebrity

Mr Walliams comments were unkind, inappropriate, and demeaning. These remarks were expressed in a PRIVATE conversations and should have been left there. How many of us have made comments or expressed opinions we would not wanted repeated. Cringe !
Lesson… not every thought in your head, needs to come out of you mouth. He offered his apologies to the contestants, the viewers, and his employer.
To….. BGT Make a real statement, get off cruifixtion bandwagon, accept the apology, and rehire David. We miss him and the show needs him !

Looking back on BGT and AGT auditions, Simons facial expressions and comments to whoever was sitting next to him at the time far outweighs any comments made by David privately or openly. Bruno knows the rules and was clearly briefed on them before he signed the contract, all he does is an act which just makes him look an idiot. Bring back David.

Where is the mention of the historic swims he did for charity and the millions of pounds he raised. As for his comments, he is known for racy banter from his appearances on the Big Fat Quiz shows.
David is a huge talent and so very funny. It is a real shame when celebrities, athletes, politicians etc. fail to realize that their behaviour is being watched constantly and once they offend, their reputations and often their careers decline.

Being an American I have to admit that with the talent aside David was why I tuned in to BGT. His demise is further proof of how messed up the world has become. A person can say or do one thing wrong years ago and still have it ruin their career EVEN after they apologize. It’s just sad really.

I wish he could come back, as I think he is a fun loving person and he was so nice to that young boy who was started crying cos of his nerves then ran on stage to console him, I think deep down, David is a kind compassionate person really there ought to be more people like David in the world and I hope one day he finds the love he's looking for.

Nothing happened. He had a joke with some mates and that joke got out to the public who were never meant to hear it. Imagine if some of the jokes we said to each other frowning up got leaked. Everyone in the world would be hated. David is a genius. Plus he’s also human

David is brilliant and human like the rest of us. I could care less what he said or did not say, he is still a person who has given me so much entertainment. People need to get back to reality and realize they are not all that, if someone says something you think might be derogatory toward yourself, look for the why. It is there and you most probably deserve it, suck it up.
Talent at this level is rare, and after giving millions of people such wonderful entertainment he is brought down by publication of a few poorly chosen comnents made in private that someone leaked to the predatory press. How petty and judgmental can people be to punish this versatile performer in this way!

Yes, I miss David a lot. I was very disappointed when he left. The Italian replacement Toni is very pleasant and nice but David is David. He was always so funny. Thanks for the video, I finally get it. Hopefully he'll come back, even if it's hard.
It never ceases to amaze me how quickly people turn on stars over something that was said in private.
Never mind the completely miserable things we've all said in private ourselves. All those who say they haven't are usually the worst ones for it.
One mistake, probably on a bad day, doesn't take anything away from David's talent.
