Im using pioneer xdj r1controller . The sound effects both " CRUSH " & " NOISE " is not working by using my controller. i used effect_active " noise " this script is not working and i used toggle "fxnoise" also, both didnt working. can you give me the exact code for the effects.

using the VMS4.1, when i moved to VDJ8 my browse/scroll buttons no longer work, i used to hold 'shift' button along with turning the 'sample/select' knob to scroll thru my playlist, then push the knob to load the song. any idea how i can get this re-mapped again? can i possibly copy/paste script from my VDJ 7 settings into VDJ8?

I have a scs.4dj with vdj8 and have mapped my mpd32 to trigger hot cues and samples. My question is what command is used to trigger deck A hot cues? or deck B? I'm using hot_cue 1 but it doesn't distinguish A or B so it jumps back and forth. And also I would like to map the vdj8 custom buttons to the scs.4dj hot cue buttons.. Not sure what to assign to them but I wont need two sets of hot cue buttons. I prefer the mpd32 for hot cues. Any Ideas?
need help i have vdj8 and have an issue , when i go to mapping!! in vdj5 you used to be able to choose which deck the mapping would control but i cant seem to figure out how to do it in vdj 8.0 now when i try to map 2 different faders for left and right on my midi i have to always select the deck its really annoying, i want to be able to control the 2 decks with 2 different faders
Thanks for the video. I'm having trouble figuring out the correct way to map deck cloning. There is a function on the controller to do a double-click on the browser load button, but that just loads the song onto the other deck. I can't figure out a way to unload the second deck and load song currently playing on the first deck. Hope this makes sense. Thanks for any thoughts.

I am trying to get my microphone to work through channel 3 on my controller. This will mean I can use my fader to control the mic volume and use the equaliser to make sure it sounds correct. I can not seem to be able to map the midi fighter spectra to VDJ 8 Pro. I have down loaded mapping from VDJ's website and it does not work. (It states it's for VDJ 8) I tried the mapping from VDJ 7 Pro with no luck. I am not sure of what to do, or if it's do to the change in platforms from windows PC to the Mac?..... Got me a Numark NVii. Have used all VDJ programs in the past but this one came with serato :/ I'm trying to use it with VDJ but there are no map options like key learn or any list of what does what. My controller won't respond to anything I do and the screens don't do anything but show me NVii. How can I get this controller to work? I'm licensed with content untld and VDJ pro infinity. On my beatpad reloop on the right deck loop size knob is fx select in mapping. How to make it normal? I can't do nothing for one deck, always every changes i make it makes changes for two decks. And how to make crossfader for scratching... "crossfader_curves scratch" won't work.

hi I was wondering if you could help me. I have the dns 3700 decks and a dnx 1700 mixer I have try everything they work with virtual dj 8 but the platter don't work every thing works but that. I have try everything. some mappings works but it sound like its running on low battery some spin but don't scratch. recently I got the soundcard denon ds1 serato interface but nothing is all the same the mixer the left sound on the right and the right on the left I try the sound card on the decks I have tried the sound card on the mixer with the mapping but nothing. please help me I don't know what im doin wrong I had then since 2008 and I cant make them work properly .thanks

Hay man, I've got a Voxoa S70 controller and it seems to be mapped but every time I turn on virtual Dj 8 the headphones jump to master volume and nearly blow my head off (unless I turn the headphones volume all the way up then it catches and turns down to where its set like your ghost volume video) also it keeps auto syncing tunes which I don't want unless I press the sync button, is there a way to keep virtual Dj mapped so it remembers all the button settings on my controller? Echo Papa, I can map a Midi Fighter 3D for samples, Hot Cue and Loop roll?? *A different one of the buttons above MF3D* And I can also map a Xone: K2 to choose the tracks, play ( no sync), accelerate BPM songs simultaneously and 2 hot cues ?? *All that is in each Fader or Deck (I mix with 4 channels)* It can be mixed with those 2 MIDI controllers??? Hello Echo Papa...I have a Numark Mixtrack 3 and I would like to assign the "Pitch Bend -" and "Pitch Bend +" buttons on the controller to the "Gain" knob(s) in Virtual DJ8. Since this controller does not have a Gain Volume Knob to control the Gain, I have to use my mouse and manually raise or lower the Gain on screen in VDJ8. I was hoping to assign "Pitch Bend -" to lower it and "Pitch Bend +" to raise it. But if not, any configuration would suit me fine. A related question within this question, "Can a controller button be assigned to control a VDJ8 knob?" Thank you very much! I love your videos!
Just use 'gain +5%' and 'gain -5%', change the number depending on how fine of a control you want. For your second question I'm not sure what you are trying to do.

I have a problem, I don't find the mappers of numark party mix and I don't know how to do, because there is a botton that says pad mode, and it has the effects, cues, loops and samplers... And I don't know how to map this. If anyone could help me, I would be so grate :(

I downloaded mapping for icon idj controller on vdjweb but there is only one play and one cue etc. Can I program the key list so I have different play and cue for both deck?
Yes. use the command device_side. For example, you want the left deck to play & pause but you want the. right deck to play & stutter it would look like this. device_side 'left' ? play_pause : play_stutter What you are saying is...is the button your pressing on the left side of the controller? Yes, then do command 1 otherwise, by process of elimination, it must be the right side, so do command 2. Be sure to put the little quote thing around left.
When doing this type of mapping does it work for both decks or just the A? Does it apply for example to both loop in( to whatever key the controller has on the 2 decks A& B?) thanks

I use Numark ns6 and i try to map on 3 and 4 ch bass knobs to work like filter knobs for 1 and 2 ch and I cant.. On Serato dj this works fine but on VDJ 8 doesent.. Please how know how to remap this knobs comment in down below! P.s. Sorry for my English, I am form Serbia :) PEACE!!!
Thanks for the tutorial. Everything works like you said until I click the magnifying glass then it does nothing I click click click I get nothing then I try to manually enter the action in the box and it won't let me.

Hi echo papa, great vids! Please help me. I'm using the numark mixtrack pro 2 and vdj 8 pro. My issue is with the effects bank. The parameter knobs would only work with the effects on slot 1. When I look at the Mac screen, the effect that it's showing is the one on effects slot 1. There is no way for me to even see which effects I'm choosing for effects slots 2-4. P.s. I was able to see and control all effects slots and parameters in vdj pro 7. Please help. Have a great day.

They have been working most of the bugs out pretty quick but they are a few lingering ones.
The engine will still be 8, but not everything can be accessed via the 7 skin.

When I go to select a desk it has nothing or automatic and none of those make my controller control anything.

VDJ will let you map just about anything, as long as you have the time

Hello Echo Papa...I have a Numark Mixtrack 3 and I would like to assign the "Pitch Bend -" and "Pitch Bend +" buttons on the controller to the "Gain" knob(s) in Virtual DJ8. Since this controller does not have a Gain Volume Knob to control the Gain, I have to use my mouse and manually raise or lower the Gain on screen in VDJ8. I was hoping to assign "Pitch Bend -" to lower it and "Pitch Bend +" to raise it. But if not, any configuration would suit me fine. A related question within this question, "Can a controller button be assigned to control a VDJ8 knob?" Thank you very much! I love your videos!
Just use 'gain +5%' and 'gain -5%', change the number depending on how fine of a control you want. For your second question I'm not sure what you are trying to do.

Echo Papa, wondering if you have mapped a Midi Fighter Spectra with VDJ 8? I mapped my Midi Fighter Spectra to VDJ 7 Pro with great results. I have tried to map FX in VDJ 8 to the midi fighter and have not be successful. I would appreciate any input you may have.

Need Help!! I made my playlist in the Order I want and save but when it opened in the left Drop box it changed the order into Alphabet by titles How can I take it off from doing that I would like for it play in the Order I selected Thanks please HELP!!
I downloaded mapping for icon idj controller on vdjweb but there is only one play and one cue etc. Can I program the key list so I have different play and cue for both deck?
Yes. use the command device_side. For example, you want the left deck to play & pause but you want the. right deck to play & stutter it would look like this.
device_side 'left' ? play_pause : play_stutter
What you are saying is...is the button your pressing on the left side of the controller? Yes, then do command 1 otherwise, by process of elimination, it must be the right side, so do command 2. Be sure to put the little quote thing around left.
When doing this type of mapping does it work for both decks or just the A? Does it apply for example to both loop in( to whatever key the controller has on the 2 decks A& B?)

It depends on your controller. Not all controllers are left & right, but most are.

Go to your crossfader in your controller settings and the command is 'crossfader'
hey echo papa i somehow deleted the factory mapping for mix track pro 3 in VDJ8 infinity, I've tried resetting to defaults but its not working, do you have any ideas or by chance a mapping file ;)
I use Numark ns6 and i try to map on 3 and 4 ch bass knobs to work like filter knobs for 1 and 2 ch and I cant.. On Serato dj this works fine but on VDJ 8 doesent.. Please how know how to remap this knobs comment in down below!

Thanks for the tutorial. Everything works like you said until I click the magnifying glass then it does nothing I click click click I get nothing then I try to manually enter the action in the box and it won't let me.

You can use a Novation Launchpad to play samples. I actually have a numark nvii and a launchpad both going at the same time when I DJ

I'm using the numark mixtrack pro 2 and vdj 8 pro.
My issue is with the effects bank. The parameter knobs would only work with the effects on slot 1.
When I look at the Mac screen, the effect that it's showing is the one on effects slot 1.
There is no way for me to even see which effects I'm choosing for effects slots 2-4.
P.s. I was able to see and control all effects slots and parameters in vdj pro 7.
