Sarah, I am imagining you wearing that long dramatic dress while singing, that would fit the bill perfectly. Lovely choices for sew frugal. Get better soon. 🙏
I really like Mood patterns, I've made quite a few of them and have many more on my list! One thing I'd definitely recommend (especially for bigger garments like the shirt dress or kaftan) is send the patterns to a printer who will stitch the A4 sheets together for you. Savvy Sewist is a great UK printer who does that! Saves so much time and so much paper. Feel better soon!
If in doubt, don't learn English from Americans on YT; "shearing" is what shearers do to sheep, for a smocking-like effect using elastic, "shirring" is pronounced just as in "Shirley Temple" or "Sherpa Tensing" or "sherbet lemons" or "to shirk" or just "Cher (the artist formerly known as Cherilyn Sarkisian & Mrs Sonny Bono)". Nice choices of size-inclusive stuff, but I do think Mood go OTT with trying to fit in as much fabric as possible into every garment they design & it rips off the inexperienced sewer - maybe they're just trying to compensate for all the slashes, splits & deep necklines? LOL :)
Hi Joanne. Thanks for watching. I actually primarily watch UK vloggers and have heard it pronounced in both ways, I have also pronounced it both ways in previous vlogs and admitted that I am never sure which way around that the pronunciation is - I just don't feel the need to explain that in every video. Thank you for letting me know the correct way, but I would ask that you might consider your tone before commenting. I am sure that it was well-meaning but it came across to me as being patronising, and most vloggers are making content for free (and doing their best!) and I suspect I am not the only one who would appreciate a little leeway! Regarding Mood patterns, there definitely are some fabric-hungry patterns on there, but there were also plenty which used less. There is also no guarantee that those using their patterns will be using fabric from Mood anyway!
Caftan dress wonderful for holiday honeymoon 😊
Thanks Karol 💕
Love Veronica blouse ❤
That caftan is 🔥
Thanks Polly 💕 it's fun isn't it? Xx
