Totally agree - an absolute supergroup and so many fabulous songs - "School" "Give a little bit", "It's raining again", "Dreamer", "Take the long way home" - too many fantastic hits to list. Just legendary ❤ Jo
😂 In my youth I always thought of Supertramp as a band for girls that, as a boy, you could only listen to in disguise. Decades later I found out that all of my friends who only listened to Deep Purple and Black Sabbath were fans of Supertramp when they were on their own! 😂
That's exactly my point of View, and my wife (singer and choir conductor) says i.e. Freddie Mercury with Killer Queen, Somebody to love and of course Bohemian Rhapsody doesn't need to hide behind classics Like Beethoven or Mozart.
Supertramp were amazing! Even better live. Crime of the century album in 1974 was a huge #1 album here in Canada 🇨🇦. Everything Supertramp did was Phenomenal!!!❤
Supertramp was so damn good. And talk about a reminder that history repeats itself, those 45 year old lyrics "watch what you say or they'll be calling you a radical, a liberal, oh fanatical, criminal".
Yeah, now a days if you go against the indoctrination you're a extremist right winger. It's like the patties have switched places. The Liberals are shutting everyone down and silencing.
Such a great song! CLASSIC! The lyrics are incredible. We can all relate to what Roger Hodgson is singing about. Loss of our innocence by a society hell bent on making us into something we were not designed to be. Losing our passion for life and empathy for others. We fall into the trap. This band is so damn talented.
One of the groups that I used to listen to, in my youth, after school before doing my homework while having my snack (With Pink floyd, Jethro tull, Deep Purple, Led zep and Barclay James Harvest).... merci pour ce partage!❤❤❤❤
I have zero musical talent, but when I saw them live they sounded almost EXACTLY the same as they do record. 25 or 30 rows from the stage and completely blown away.
Supertramp is a treasure trove. Don't miss out on their collection of masterpieces. Always with depth, always with musical genius -- and there's always a lot going on. Nothing more to say... All the best from Germany
The second single I ever bought. The first being "Sweet Talkin' Woman" by ELO. As a 14 y.o. In the UK we had the "hit parade" on radio on a Sunday evening. Loved these so went and bought them. They still stand the test of time...and this song is utterly fantastic. I think the lyrics are more meaningful now than back in 1979. Great stuff guys!
I forgot all about these guys, I had their greatest hits when I was 10, 40 years ago and would play it constantly. Gonna have to binge listen to their catalog.
I listened to the concert from my girlfriends house 2 miles away with the tele on it was a moment in time that I wish my my later wife and kids could have experienced
So right. People hide behind the keyboard and don't have the balls to stand face to face and express their sentiment. I've been to prison twice and I'm not proud of it, but I've always stood my ground and spoke my mind.
I was *One of ONLY* Twelve attending their 1977 Memorial Arena, Victoria, BC, Canada Even In the Quietest Moments Tour. Best Live Sound and Performance from The Most Professional Band The 12 of us blown-away by their entire setlist, plus an encore of Six Unreleased Songs from Breakfast in America album. Rare that Live Concerts matches Studio Recordings High Fidelity Quality Sound.
Just wanted you to know. This is not a live performance, it's the studio recording. The performance from Live in Paris is just about a 100% duplicate of the studio recording.
Check out the song FOOL'S OVERTURE from Supertramps 1977 - Even in The Quietest Moments - Album. It's a Masterpiece! Another #1 album of theirs here in Canada 🇨🇦
You've just discovered one on the best bands of all time!! Much more for you to discover here. Try 'Bloody Well Right' from Crime of the Centurey next!
The two of you are quite charming! That was an "old school song". I am "ancient school". How about some Roy Orbison and then tie that back into some Traveling Wilburys followed up by Tom Petty.
This song is beyond legendary. Same category as Bohemian Rhapsody or Sultans of Swing. Just epic. Greets from Germany as always. Rock on!

Stands the test of time undoubtedly. A 70's supergroup who still sound as good today as in their heyday.

The amazing thing is that Supertramp had 2 lead vocalists who sang in the same range with very similar tones.

Great reaction!
Man I watch your reactions classic but really some of these songs are rock'n'roll folklore. It makes me think where have you been under a rock.
' Wherever I lay my Hat that's my Home ' that's another good song from Paul Young. But, I must admit I do like his song called ' Broken Man '

Child of vision is an absolute masterpiece. Give it a shot
I am 70 years old, this is the music I listened to and more children, great huh!?
"It's Raining Again" is a ripper song too.

Great song, and got a very new lease of life when Scooter realeased their Logical Song, you have to check that version too, very different 😂

Just wanted you to know. This is not a live performance, it's the studio recording. The performance from Live in Paris is just about a 100% duplicate of the studio recording.
