Had my 1997 GMC 1500 savana conversion van for 10 years. We van camp with her and runs great. Not great on gas around town but what a smooth ride on the highway, considering all the years of service for the buy in price of $6,000, 10 years ago I can handle the gas bill.
“The Express company that did this conversion “ uh No Express did not do the conversion, Explorer did the conversion. Chevrolet named the van Express and Explorer has labeled this model the Limited SE. Explorer is one of the best van conversion builders around in my opinion. Very beautiful van and the added LED lights are spot on. Great job. These vans are getting hard to come by and the prices are soaring.
Your Welcome Vince, I have recently picked up a 99 Chevy express 1500 conversion van.. currently restoring its interior. Anyway as soon as I fix up the inside I’ll get my family in and take a road trip.. hopefully by summer 2020..
Actually, the 2019 at totally different from the 2003. I know for a fact, because I have 2019 Chevy Express Exployer Conversion Van. The Engine is now a 6.0 V8 vortec along with stabilizer, all wheel traction and soft ride suspension. I also have 4G LTE WiFi integrated into the vehicle just to name a few.
The 2021 has the all new 6.6 naturally aspirated gas V8. The newer you get em’ the better they get improved by GM and Explorer Van Company. Have you seen the super 525 with magnuson super charger and quigley 4x4 raised 4” with off road terrain tires and a x-se pkg personally speced with the lazy boy seats and massaging and diamond stitching !?
Mine is a 2000 it’s 21years old and still in tiptop shape with 43,000 miles on it.And it still runs like it’s brand new I’ll make sure I keep it in tiptop shape but I would like to ask where can I take him by parts for the ground effects I have the same problem but my problem was somebody sideswiped my side panel where can I buy body part kits ????
Hey, I'm gonna be able to buy a car in a year, and I want to get something very multi-purpose that I can use for all my needs while I'm growing up. Stuff like when I move homes or drive long distance. Would you recommend an Express?
Yes these Vans are very durable well made endless maintenance and Care can last a very long time up to and over 300,000 miles. The only side drawback is they are a little thirsty on gas but that's to be expected with something this big. I've traveled cross-country in my conversion van they are very comfortable and smooth rides and once you get on the highway you get very good mileage.
My cousins I remember had one and it did have clips for the car seats. But I know it wasn't an explorer, I forgot what conversion company built theirs.
I have an '02. Bought new. I love it.
Love these vans specially the 02 n 03
