the ref had a shocking performance, don’t let that effect your on coming games ( if u have any left ) tobi has been amazing these last couple of games as well as myrone if only he could finish .Thought harvey played well was the only one winning these battles from throw ins and 1v1s and a couple of great balls played would like to know why he got subbed , starting to dislike number 14 , tai he scores a goal now and then but does nothing but moan and blame others on his own team christian played a beautiful goal and all he had to do was tap it into an empty net but missed and blamed it on the pass . anyway the growth from this team has been amazing and really hope they stick together got a bright future ❤
Yes it looks like this was our last game of the season, although we might look at arranging some Friendlies during April & May depending on player availability. Yes, Harvey did play well. It's only fitness issues that prevents him playing a full 90 minutes ahead of others when we have good substitutes available to come on. He has got just as much ability as everybody else. We all know that. Tai just hates losing. Nothing wrong with that, but yes he needs to stop blaming others when everyone is trying their best on terrible pitches that really don't help the way we want to play. He's fine when we win.
I'm actually going to comment on something different to everyone. I think that ref is the dad of someone I used to play football with as a teen lol. He was a nice guy (the ref) lol Other random comment, do you get nostalgic when you film these videos because of Enfield FC? On Thursday night, I used to train on next to the ground with the floodlights as a young boy. This pitch and a bit closer to the gate, is where we used to train. I was in amazement when I saw the 1st team training there one night because it was so quick and fast in comparison to my age. They were like pros to me (well they were semi-pro).
We only started playing on that pitch this season and I must admit that I had forgotten about it being part of Enfield FC's training area...which was more where the two Southbury Leisure Centre Astroturfs are currently situated really. Thanks for reminding me.
Amazing how many people think the Ref was shocking/awful, probably because it comes across that way in the highlights as a result of some of our supporters constantly berating him during the match. Mass hysteria…as you get at Premier League matches. In my opinion the only thing you can fault him on was choosing not to use Club Linesmen. A lot of Referees in the Barnet Sunday League do likewise because (in their opinion) too many Club Linesmen cheat. So that’s when you are going to get our supporters deliberately trying to influence referees decisions by angrily shouting out ‘He was a yard offside’ for every offside appeal by our defenders that were 50/50 close ones and where the Referee decided to give the benefit of the doubt to the attacking team. It’s not the Referee’s fault. It’s because there are not enough official Assistant Referees around to be appointed to games at Sunday League level, clubs can’t afford to pay for them anyway, and the Barnet Sunday League do not have a rule in place that fines clubs who do not provide a competent Club Linesman and forces Referees to use them. Basically though, if one or both teams in Sunday League football (with no official Assistant Referees) are going to play a high line and look for offsides instead of defending deep, then you are going to get an angry match. Either from Club Linesmen not concentrating/cheating or from Referees guessing from 30 yards behind the play and getting verbal abuse for that. It's been going on for years and it's also the main cause of punch-ups (when Club Linesmen retaliate) and matches getting abandoned.
Thought there was no flow in the passing pressing or defending today. Credit to Harvey up top he led the line well and should have gotten an assist if Myron had finished that chance. Thought Christian was also great coming on very direct and done their RB/CB a fair few times (should have been sent off for the first tackle when Christian put it on a plate for Tai to finish. Thought the ref was fair for the 1st goal in my opinion as it was either Red Card and penalty or 1-0 with 11 men still. Hopefully some more friendlies will be made so get the newer faces gelled in with the rest of the squad.
Such embarassing behaviour from the adults on the side... Imagine being one of the poor kids having to play with these on the side week in, week out. What a horrible environment
Rovers couldn't get their game flowing. Terrible pitch and too many stop-starts. Saying that, Nissi II had a couple of decent strikers, and some of the Rovers had heads elsewhere.
Shame if the season ends with that result and such an angry game Thought the ref was fair for their first goal (even though it clearly wasn’t their corner) as it would have been a red for Charlie and a penalty if not given as a goal. He was in a decent position to disallow Charlie’s goal but impossible to tell if he got it right from our angle. Then their second goal is a second phase goal too but apparently not offside this time. Also looked very close… 🤷🏻♂️ 3rd goal definitely looked offside. Which is odd because he guessed a few offsides when he wasn’t level with play. I don’t really understand why a referee wouldn’t use club ARs if they are available. Just because one team can’t / won’t provide them, should not mean the other team doesn’t. In our league we would get fined for not providing an AR. He did lose control of the game but obviously both sidelines didn’t help with calming things down. Could clearly hear their sub baiting Paddy constantly in the second half. Sunday morning testosterone levels and bravado were really out of control. Credit to Nissi, defended well and their keeper had a decent game.

Paddy wasn't playing. He dropped out at 5.30 in the morning when he got home. 😅
I think you mean Fergus ?
@@hughesvideo 😂😂 yep, Fergus!
ref was awful. So arrogant. Just made things up as he went along.
