If you buy genuine Honda blades from a dealer then you'll see the correct torque on the back of the blister pack. 20/01/2025 and the pack cost $34(4 blades washers bolts)
Great vid, I'd just recommend a little anti seize on the mounting plate bolts before reattaching to the mower. I usually change the blades when I do my oil change and just dip the ends on the used oil before re-attaching 👍
Great content mate. I’ve been watching a lot of your vids. Mate any chance you could do a video on bushranger mower v Honda hru 216 at all? Thinking very seriously also on a Jim’s mowing business for myself down in Sydney. Would like to have a good chat to ya on jumping into business with Jim.
Agree ….. one of mine was so loose it folded like this guys and it vibrated like a bitch….. I need new tension washers after a few changes. I bought a bulk set of blades and they didn’t supply tension washers…… might try spring washers 🤔
Well I have the 4th blade on. Loose as now it’s folding into the other 2. Tried to get bolt back off. Won’t go tight or untight now grinding the fk out of it. There is no purpose or achievement them swinging. Not using the black swivel washer next time.
Gday mate which way do the spring washer go on?
Thanks for the advise about the blades swinging 😀 👍
Thank you so much for this video it really helped out
Any torque values for the bolts?

How do you tell when your blades need changing? Can you notice a difference in the quality of the cut?

No problem! Glad I can help 🤙🏼

EBay 10 pairs $49
Hi, can that disc be changed out for the Honda straight bar micro blades?
When is the best time to change the disc

Much appreciated 🤙🏼
Thanks 🙏

Thanks Rip!
Hi I just subscribed to ask have you ever had to replace the blade clutch.
Do you ever sharpen the blades? Or do you
just replace them?
Hello mate how much were the genuine Honda blades ?
Where do you get that amount of blades from? Cheers
Any good Honda dealer has them, or can order them.

I have never see those blades in the US.
sorry but i disagree with letting swing blades go loose,it should be tighten till "not easily moved by hand".
Honda recommend 30-40Nm. I torque mine. Blades should move freely if torqued correctly.
Your spot on, from factory they don't move easily.
