I'm watching this while I'm in the gym 🤍 so calming. Also I moved away from my family too. They are all in NC but I make sure to take trips home for the important things so I don't feel like I'm missing out!
Hey girl did you enjoy living in Tampa? What are the pros and cons? I recently graduated from college and moved back home to save up, but Im thinking of moving to Tampa in a few months.
@@janaestephenson2501 Hi! I definitely enjoyed living in Tampa! I only moved to New Jersey for college. Pros of Tampa: warm weather year round; more affordable than other major cities like New York, Miami, and every city in Cali; there is a diverse array of job options in all sectors; there is ALWAYS something going on in Downtown Tampa, and that fact that we have major league baseball, football, and hockey definitely makes the city come alive and feel vibrant; there are plenty of outdoor activities at beaches, parks, and riverwalks; there are lots of smaller neighborhoods in Tampa that have their own vibe. For instance, Hyde Park is upscale social, Tarpon Springs is like historic Greek-themed beach town, Wesley Chapel/New Tampa used to be the countryisde, but now it's "up and coming" with major outdoor malls, new restaurants, and fun attractions like Main Event and Tiger Woods has a mini golf attraction there. There is also no income tax, and there is no tax on grocery so you can save money here. Cons: Hurricane season comes around every fall, although it's usually not as bad as the news channels anticipate; traffic can be congested during the week on the main roads and highways, but there are a lot of smaller "back streets" you can use to get around; the humidity can be very hot during the summer, and the air can feel a bit hard to breathe in. If you're from up north, there is pretty much no efficient public transportation in Tampa. There is no underground train, and no trolleys to get you around like in Philly, NYC, and maybe Chicago. There is a city bus, but it is not super efficient and people try to avoid it, so you'll need a car. There are often times a lot of tourist during the summer months; and lines are usually very long to eat at a restaurant (like 45 min on average in the evenings), but wait times have gone down a lot since covid. Hope this helps!!
@@alexciss yes this helps a lotttt!! I moved to the U.S. in 2015 and have been living in Utah ever since. I transferred from my community college in Utah to UNLV in 2021. I graduated this may and moved back home to save up in hopes of moving out the end of this year. I mainly want to move to Florida because of the warm weather, beaches and Caribbean population. Thank you for responding to my comment!!
I feel the homesick part! Moved to Arizona 3 months ago while my family is in NY, feel like I’m missing out and so are they sometimes. Hope it gets better. Have fun for your birthday!
Girl your so Beautiful and I'm Praying for you. And do what you feel God calls you. I Loved Florida!! I know what you mean I moved and I'm homesick and I'm moving back to where I'm from because life is short and need to spend time with family. You have an amazing life and everyone goes through what you go through. Pray it out every day. That's what I do and it gives my tears turn to Joy❤❤❤❤
I feel the same way living in a different place than my family. I feel like they miss out on so much or I miss out on so much! My mom is coming to visit me for my bday too! You and I have the same bday too!
Lauren, I always have that feeling when I come home from a big fun trip. I'm not sure if you filmed this right after Coachella but it definitely makes sense to be coming down from that kind of high. You'll be back to your normal self very soon!
Hi Lauren,
I’m glad your Mom and sister are coming to celebrate your birthday and spend time with you!

Hi Lauren! I’ve lived in Tampa for 18 years so it’s nice seeing a UA-camr who lives and vlogs in my city!
