Both Xayah and Kai'sa have skillshots, and Xayah relies on good positioning to land e, which is a bit like skillshot. Dodge the e, ur fine (unless she has support which chain cc you) Kai'sa probem is in overloaded kit. And her skillshot is a huge thing, it deals like 100-200 dmg (early) and grants stacks.

@@AuburnInAutumn Sivir Jinx sounds way better in just about every situation. Old adcs are designed with actual weakpoints, unlike the abominations that were last released where they have an answer for every single thing you try to do to them.

Well Hashinshin has a really big bias against anything that counters his picks. I mean just look at who Thresh counter : Jax,Aatrox and Kled, all champions Hashinshin mains. Obviously he doesn't counter them damage wise but he can simply ruin their entire engage hence why he dislikes him. To me Thresh is fine because his job is to protect the carry, same reason why Braum and Voli are great bodyguards too. I won't be suprised if he will complain about them too.

6:13 Waiting for the Xayah / Kai'sa nerfs a few patches already, and when i say they do too much damage early game for a Hyper carry nobody listen, maybe thats why they are like, the only one's getting picked in Worlds
they arent hypercarries but they are nearly there and yes, they do too much dmg cause they are very ability based and do a lot of dmg from those too + their ADC dmg level autos means its insane dmg
they only reason those 2 adc's are this popular because they both can effectively negate enemy assassins especially stuff like zed/rengar by buying hourglass in case of kai'Sa or pressing r as xayah without sacrificing damage keeping them at assassin level of burst damage themselfs and completly making them unreliant of the support if they do fuck up cuz their oh-shit button rotation can always save them. it's insanely annoying how on the longterm everything got adjusted around the fact that assassin champs (non assassin geting reworked or buffed into assassination combos) exists and some of them can safely oneshot every adc that is not xayah/kai'sa. enemy support is nearby and has exhaust let me just run in range to leap since my damage goes off midair anyways for no reason, so either support presses preemptively and then i can just take a step back wait out the exhaust while my ult leap+movespeed buff IS STILL active even tho i got revealed so i get to kill the adc anyways including getting to waste the enemy supports summoner spell. and as hash said in another video/stream it's kinda insane how everybody who gets to shove the lane is immediately looking towards botlane to just cash in a freekill on the enemy adc.
Hash complaints in a nutshell: Mages: items to good, agreed Xayah: to much dmg, agreed to an extent, a light dps e nerf and I think she would be fine. Jax: q CD nerf, agreed Thresh: he doesn't like that thresh has a hook and peel and is tanky when aftershock is procing. (And prob wishes that supports just let him walk on their team.), hard disagree
Jax's Q isnt the problem, its Shojin with his E. He can quite literally become immune to auto attack so long as his ult is up, and that's fucking dumb. Throw in Steraks, Merc Treads, and Legend: Tenacity if you're spicy and now you have a, for all intents and purposes, unkillable champ who cant be auto attacked, stunned, silenced, rooted, kited, dueled, bursted (because of huge resist steroids on his ult that *scale with his AD/AP for some reason*) or anything ever again after 3 items. Oh and he gets 25% resistance to AoEs from his E, too. Theres a reason this ability has a *16 second* cooldown at rank 1. Hopefully Riot pushes through with removing Shojin, it's just far, far too abusable and it's pretty much just Jax that it's a problem on. Every other user of Shojin is strong but still counter playable and reasonable.
Anakin Bacon I'm betting Jax' winrate will go down when Shojin gets removed. Nobody stacks that much tenacity on Jax unless the enemy team is literally playing cc comp, which if you can't lock him down, your fault for opting for lockdown instead of damage. He doesn't even get that much magic resist on his ult. You only use it to get beefier/proc Shojin when you have it. Jax doesn't instawin lane, and if he does win lane, isn't him being a hard-to-kill solo carry SUPPOSED to happen?
@@Geheimnis-c2e There's a substantial difference between not having counterplay and being a strong champion. Jax right now is definitely going to drop in win rate after the Shojin removal, obviously, because hes currently tuned for it. That doesn't make it healthy for the game, and its obviously why Shojin is on the chopping block - it's too volatile and abusable. It's unfortunate that Jax alone has such a warping effect on the item, but the same thing happened with old Guinsoos and old Hextech Gunblade, and they were nerfed heavily before being reworked. He gets 30/50/70 BASE magic resist when ulting. Considering a lot of magic damage is AoE, he basically has some 150-200 MR when he ults. Does it make him unkillable? No. but it means he doesn't have a weakness. Jax doesnt typically get Legend Tenacity, I didn't say he did. I said it's spicy. Even without it, he has some 50% CC reduction through Steraks + Mercs, which he will go if theres any substantial amount of CC meant to hold him back. The counterplay to Jax is *supposed* to be to CC him until his cooldowns run out, so that the ADC can DPS and kite him, and his ult will wear off in time to burst him when he gets to the backline. That doesn't happen anymore. Then he has quite a bit of healing through Conqueror (which isn't really a problem in itself). So any DoT or DPS you're doing isn't really going to help as he's going to heal it off while your DoTs are on cooldown. So you build Grievous Wounds right? Well thats 800/3000 gold out of your inventory just to stop him sustaining, but now you do less damage than you would with another item, so it kind of evens out his sustain with less damage. That's okay... you just have to burst him then. But you can't. Because he has a Sterak's shield and 200-250 armor/150-200 MR. Then you just kite him out right? Well no, because his Q is now on a 2s cooldown because of low base CD then Shojins... Okay so you just out tank him right? No, because he has physical, magic, and true damage combined into all of his attacks. The way Jax is right now, balanced or not, relies on him hitting his three item powerspike. And that's fine. But there's a difference between "damn this guy is strong, he can 1v3 easily and he's hard to kite!" and "okay so we have 5 people hitting him, two people are doing 0 damage because they're AD, ones a support, our CC doesn't last long enough... Hm." This is a problem: you should be able to outplay a champion, not rely on the enemy player hopefully misclicking or selecting the wrong target. Counterplay should be based on your own skills, not the enemy's ineptitude. By comparison, look at Renekton, who has some similar "if I get on top of you you're dead" kind of play. If you Thresh flay Renekton, his dash is on a 18-8 second cooldown. So now he autos some minions or a tank to dash to the carries again. Except now he's using two of his four dashes with Fury, so he doesnt get his empowered Q or W where a substantial amount of damage comes from. By comparison, if you Flay a Jax... He just autos something once then Q's again. And the Flay didn't even slow him because it ran out in the time it took Jax to land from the knockback and then Leap Strike.
I did exactly what hash said as thresh into a fed diana I absolutely neutralized her I could feel the guys frustration through the internet itself like energy.
and that is exactly why i pretty much NEVER pick melee mid,top or diver jungle, because thresh just neuters my champ while being useful in a billion other ways have to ban that cancer to save myself the frustration(and maybe prevent my bot from inting)
sounds like my game i had with diana the other day. Although I just didn't know diana well enough and made some pretty awful plays like hash did this game.
but sometimes he's right with his balancing suggestion. removing Aa revive makes him riskier and more fun to engage against, Riven and Fiora is just pure bonkers with inflated numbers, and Xayah really need a nerf or a rework to readjust her damage - safety parameters.

You do realise that essentially means in a teamfight, you're trading a support champion with relatively cheap items for a top lane whose items are much costlier? Let's just go on and assume that every lane did equally well. You'd be removing their top lane, and yourself from the fight (Well not really because you also have redemption and thresh lantern), making it a 4 v 4, with you having a top lane advantage, unless they also have a cc heavy support like say, nautilus. Sounds like a pretty unfair trade to me.

You're saying that, just because you're playing Thresh, you should be able to peel away a top laner making him completely useless, while still be able to support the entire team, which to be honest, you STILL can as I've mentioned regarding Redemption (and Locket) and Thresh Lantern. Your hook is on a 12 second cooldown at max level WITHOUT CDR, and landing a hook lowers your cooldown even more by 3 seconds. Your flay cooldown is just as short, at a 9 second cooldown WITHOUT CDR. You can hook and flay multiple times during a teamfight, chain CCing their top lane while still affecting the teamfight. Find any other champion that can do that. Comparing Thresh to say, Nautilus. While Naut can hook you more than once during a teamfight, mini stun you for a while with his AA, and knock you with his ult, it would be stupid of him to use his ult on the top laner instead of the ADC, and he does not have any more hard ccs other than his Q.
@@0DemonKiller0 Thresh only has 2 hard CCs: his hook which is single target, and his aoe flay which is good, but doesn't last that long. The other CC he has is his box which is a 90% slow to one person if they all go out the same way. If we are going by max level stats like you, Nautilus has a 1.5 second root built into his autos, a 10 sec Q which serves as both an escape (which decreases cooldown to 5), and a hard CC, a shield based off his health, 5 second AOE that gives 50% slow, and an ultimate that can knock up and stun an entire team for 3 seconds. How is it, then, that Thresh is worse to face as a melee toplaner? In a teamfight, once Thresh takes that Q in, odds are he's going to die, as he has no means to survive the enemy teams burst outside of a measly shield from his W. There are way better supports if you wanted to lock down a toplaner: Nautlius, Leona, Alistar, Galio Outside of all of this, CCing is how Thresh supports his team. The only other way he supports them is with his lantern, but if he's q'ing into the team, that takes away his ability to give a teammate an escape.

Give me Tresh every game, im so tired of in my games its all Xerath , Brand, Veigar, Velkoz, or Pyke because they have insane base stats and can oneshot you lvl 6 with no items, really mages are so broken and they get basicly the same gold as a solo laner by doing nothing reduce theyr base stats and give them more scaling or something. Every time I play against a kog'maw he gets fed and one shots me. Someone in Riot needs to do something about that. I feel like I can't even play the game.
aftershock is the problem it's the same thing with things like Fiddlesticks, Liss, Lux and whatnot. they ended up nerfing the champ but aftershock is what really made them OP, feel like the same thing applies to Thresh but he doesn't really get affected by the aftershock "nerf" because he builds tank items so they probably SHOULD nerf him a bit, maybe a hit on his passive armor stacking or something to make him a bit more squishy. his CC and shit is probably fine cuz tank support champs tend to have a shit ton of CC (Leona, Naut, etc)
IMO Thresh is one of the best designed champions in League as he has counter play and has a semi-aggressive play style where he’s not just sitting and perma-shielding someone. On the contrary, he’s not like someone like pretty much any mage support that can one shot you. Basically to sum it up, when you get hooked by Thresh and die, it’s because you usually misplayed.
"There's no way to kill threash." All of his abilities are engage abilities. If you play Darius and he engages on you, you win. If you play aatrox and he engages on you, as long has you hit you Q's you win. All thresh does is build resistances, not any damage. The only real thing the threash can do is run.
You are not going to want to 1v1 a thresh. He is going to prevent you from doing anything but 1v1 him. His existence is basically a Mordekaiser ult in which you are prevented to fight back, and the enemy team will take pot shots at you.

Cant agree on Thresh. I play everything but jungle but don't see a reason to nerf thresh. He is a Support Tank who is suppose to defend his ADC. He does his job perfectly. That's like saying Alistar shouldn't be able to Q into his W because it's too much cc.
If they balance bruiser items like black cleaver then it’d be easier to deal with thresh as a bruiser and overall better experience for top lane, but instead riot would probably nerf both thresh and bruisers even more for no reason and call it “balanced”

Hash overdoes it and purposefully makes bad plays sometimes just to prove a point. Most of the time hes right, its just that he shouldnt be inting to prove it. Thresh does have insane cc potential against melees tho. You can literally stun someone long enough to peel for a carry and let them shred the targets hp bar. His hook is called death sentence for a reason. If a bruiser uses their 1 gap close towards a carry, thresh just goes nope and then the bruiser cant get to their target. Also if he gets 45% cdr his hook is on a 3 second cd (assuming he hits it).
Yea like usually I like listening to him rant and understand, but in this video I just watch him take really bad plays or be way too overly aggressive with no vision of the enemy and then die, only for him to blame mages. Yes, mages are overpowered and I totally agree with that, but he kinda just played himself a lot this time. Same with the thresh situations

If his hook were a point-to-click he wouldnt be fair, but considering most bruisers have dashes it's really your own fault if you dont pay attention to his abilities. Thresh can peel or set up picks for his team, but he cant do both effectively.

I don't think he's so wrong here though, Thresh was designed still around the time when supports didn't get so much of a free run of it in terms of gold and itemization. He was designed under the pretense that he wouldn't buy much other than wards, but now with all the sustain and gold generation in the world supports are much stronger than a lot of them were originally designed to be. His cc chain wouldn't matter as much if he could be blown up, but most of the time any good thresh cycles through q e like 4 times a fight.
Thresh needs some massive late game CD nerfs tbh, his flay is like what, 5 sec and hook on 8? and then its reduced by 3 sec so basically he got 4.5 sec cc in a 8 sec cd excluding his ultimate. him and pyke are literally 90% of pick ban rate for support in ~almost~ every elo

Jax's Q isnt the problem, its Shojin with his E. He can quite literally become immune to auto attack so long as his ult is up, and that's fucking dumb.
Throw in Steraks, Merc Treads, and Legend: Tenacity if you're spicy and now you have a, for all intents and purposes, unkillable champ who cant be auto attacked, stunned, silenced, rooted, kited, dueled, bursted (because of huge resist steroids on his ult that *scale with his AD/AP for some reason*) or anything ever again after 3 items.
Oh and he gets 25% resistance to AoEs from his E, too. Theres a reason this ability has a *16 second* cooldown at rank 1.
Hopefully Riot pushes through with removing Shojin, it's just far, far too abusable and it's pretty much just Jax that it's a problem on. Every other user of Shojin is strong but still counter playable and reasonable.

Nobody stacks that much tenacity on Jax unless the enemy team is literally playing cc comp, which if you can't lock him down, your fault for opting for lockdown instead of damage. He doesn't even get that much magic resist on his ult. You only use it to get beefier/proc Shojin when you have it. Jax doesn't instawin lane, and if he does win lane, isn't him being a hard-to-kill solo carry SUPPOSED to happen?
@@Geheimnis-c2e There's a substantial difference between not having counterplay and being a strong champion. Jax right now is definitely going to drop in win rate after the Shojin removal, obviously, because hes currently tuned for it.
That doesn't make it healthy for the game, and its obviously why Shojin is on the chopping block - it's too volatile and abusable. It's unfortunate that Jax alone has such a warping effect on the item, but the same thing happened with old Guinsoos and old Hextech Gunblade, and they were nerfed heavily before being reworked.
He gets 30/50/70 BASE magic resist when ulting. Considering a lot of magic damage is AoE, he basically has some 150-200 MR when he ults. Does it make him unkillable? No. but it means he doesn't have a weakness.
Jax doesnt typically get Legend Tenacity, I didn't say he did. I said it's spicy. Even without it, he has some 50% CC reduction through Steraks + Mercs, which he will go if theres any substantial amount of CC meant to hold him back. The counterplay to Jax is *supposed* to be to CC him until his cooldowns run out, so that the ADC can DPS and kite him, and his ult will wear off in time to burst him when he gets to the backline. That doesn't happen anymore.
Then he has quite a bit of healing through Conqueror (which isn't really a problem in itself). So any DoT or DPS you're doing isn't really going to help as he's going to heal it off while your DoTs are on cooldown. So you build Grievous Wounds right? Well thats 800/3000 gold out of your inventory just to stop him sustaining, but now you do less damage than you would with another item, so it kind of evens out his sustain with less damage.
That's okay... you just have to burst him then. But you can't. Because he has a Sterak's shield and 200-250 armor/150-200 MR. Then you just kite him out right? Well no, because his Q is now on a 2s cooldown because of low base CD then Shojins... Okay so you just out tank him right? No, because he has physical, magic, and true damage combined into all of his attacks.
The way Jax is right now, balanced or not, relies on him hitting his three item powerspike. And that's fine. But there's a difference between "damn this guy is strong, he can 1v3 easily and he's hard to kite!" and "okay so we have 5 people hitting him, two people are doing 0 damage because they're AD, ones a support, our CC doesn't last long enough... Hm." This is a problem: you should be able to outplay a champion, not rely on the enemy player hopefully misclicking or selecting the wrong target. Counterplay should be based on your own skills, not the enemy's ineptitude.
By comparison, look at Renekton, who has some similar "if I get on top of you you're dead" kind of play. If you Thresh flay Renekton, his dash is on a 18-8 second cooldown. So now he autos some minions or a tank to dash to the carries again. Except now he's using two of his four dashes with Fury, so he doesnt get his empowered Q or W where a substantial amount of damage comes from. By comparison, if you Flay a Jax... He just autos something once then Q's again. And the Flay didn't even slow him because it ran out in the time it took Jax to land from the knockback and then Leap Strike.

I did exactly what hash said as thresh into a fed diana I absolutely neutralized her I could feel the guys frustration through the internet itself like energy.
and that is exactly why i pretty much NEVER pick melee mid,top or diver jungle, because thresh just neuters my champ while being useful in a billion other ways

You do realise that essentially means in a teamfight, you're trading a support champion with relatively cheap items for a top lane whose items are much costlier? Let's just go on and assume that every lane did equally well. You'd be removing their top lane, and yourself from the fight (Well not really because you also have redemption and thresh lantern), making it a 4 v 4, with you having a top lane advantage, unless they also have a cc heavy support like say, nautilus.
Sounds like a pretty unfair trade to me.

You're saying that, just because you're playing Thresh, you should be able to peel away a top laner making him completely useless, while still be able to support the entire team, which to be honest, you STILL can as I've mentioned regarding Redemption (and Locket) and Thresh Lantern.
Your hook is on a 12 second cooldown at max level WITHOUT CDR, and landing a hook lowers your cooldown even more by 3 seconds. Your flay cooldown is just as short, at a 9 second cooldown WITHOUT CDR. You can hook and flay multiple times during a teamfight, chain CCing their top lane while still affecting the teamfight. Find any other champion that can do that.
Comparing Thresh to say, Nautilus.
While Naut can hook you more than once during a teamfight, mini stun you for a while with his AA, and knock you with his ult, it would be stupid of him to use his ult on the top laner instead of the ADC, and he does not have any more hard ccs other than his Q.

@@0DemonKiller0 Thresh only has 2 hard CCs: his hook which is single target, and his aoe flay which is good, but doesn't last that long. The other CC he has is his box which is a 90% slow to one person if they all go out the same way. If we are going by max level stats like you, Nautilus has a 1.5 second root built into his autos, a 10 sec Q which serves as both an escape (which decreases cooldown to 5), and a hard CC, a shield based off his health, 5 second AOE that gives 50% slow, and an ultimate that can knock up and stun an entire team for 3 seconds.
How is it, then, that Thresh is worse to face as a melee toplaner? In a teamfight, once Thresh takes that Q in, odds are he's going to die, as he has no means to survive the enemy teams burst outside of a measly shield from his W.
There are way better supports if you wanted to lock down a toplaner: Nautlius, Leona, Alistar, Galio
Outside of all of this, CCing is how Thresh supports his team. The only other way he supports them is with his lantern, but if he's q'ing into the team, that takes away his ability to give a teammate an escape.

aftershock is the problem
it's the same thing with things like Fiddlesticks, Liss, Lux and whatnot. they ended up nerfing the champ but aftershock is what really made them OP, feel like the same thing applies to Thresh but he doesn't really get affected by the aftershock "nerf" because he builds tank items
so they probably SHOULD nerf him a bit, maybe a hit on his passive armor stacking or something to make him a bit more squishy. his CC and shit is probably fine cuz tank support champs tend to have a shit ton of CC (Leona, Naut, etc)
IMO Thresh is one of the best designed champions in League as he has counter play and has a semi-aggressive play style where he’s not just sitting and perma-shielding someone. On the contrary, he’s not like someone like pretty much any mage support that can one shot you. Basically to sum it up, when you get hooked by Thresh and die, it’s because you usually misplayed.
Aatrox gameplay thematically goes really well with DOOM ost.

"There's no way to kill threash." All of his abilities are engage abilities. If you play Darius and he engages on you, you win. If you play aatrox and he engages on you, as long has you hit you Q's you win. All thresh does is build resistances, not any damage. The only real thing the threash can do is run.

Cant agree on Thresh. I play everything but jungle but don't see a reason to nerf thresh. He is a Support Tank who is suppose to defend his ADC. He does his job perfectly. That's like saying Alistar shouldn't be able to Q into his W because it's too much cc.
If they balance bruiser items like black cleaver then it’d be easier to deal with thresh as a bruiser and overall better experience for top lane, but instead riot would probably nerf both thresh and bruisers even more for no reason and call it “balanced”

Hash overdoes it and purposefully makes bad plays sometimes just to prove a point. Most of the time hes right, its just that he shouldnt be inting to prove it. Thresh does have insane cc potential against melees tho. You can literally stun someone long enough to peel for a carry and let them shred the targets hp bar. His hook is called death sentence for a reason. If a bruiser uses their 1 gap close towards a carry, thresh just goes nope and then the bruiser cant get to their target. Also if he gets 45% cdr his hook is on a 3 second cd (assuming he hits it).
Yea like usually I like listening to him rant and understand, but in this video I just watch him take really bad plays or be way too overly aggressive with no vision of the enemy and then die, only for him to blame mages. Yes, mages are overpowered and I totally agree with that, but he kinda just played himself a lot this time. Same with the thresh situations

If his hook were a point-to-click he wouldnt be fair, but considering most bruisers have dashes it's really your own fault if you dont pay attention to his abilities. Thresh can peel or set up picks for his team, but he cant do both effectively.

I don't think he's so wrong here though, Thresh was designed still around the time when supports didn't get so much of a free run of it in terms of gold and itemization. He was designed under the pretense that he wouldn't buy much other than wards, but now with all the sustain and gold generation in the world supports are much stronger than a lot of them were originally designed to be. His cc chain wouldn't matter as much if he could be blown up, but most of the time any good thresh cycles through q e like 4 times a fight.
Thresh needs some massive late game CD nerfs tbh, his flay is like what, 5 sec and hook on 8? and then its reduced by 3 sec so basically he got 4.5 sec cc in a 8 sec cd excluding his ultimate. him and pyke are literally 90% of pick ban rate for support in ~almost~ every elo
