hello Mr Vijay , I can't see the file config.xml on my Windows 10 under the program files where jenkins folder is downloaded. I checked at other locations and there also I don't see .jenkins folder anywhere.can you please help . Thank you
The primary Jenkins configuration file can be found at $JENKINS_HOME/jenkins.xml. On Microsoft Windows, the $JENKINS_HOME directory and primary XML configuration file can usually be found in one of the following locations: C:\Program Files\Jenkins\jenkins.xml C:\Program Files (x86)\Jenkins\jenkins.xml
In Linux, jenkins config location will be /var/lib/jenkins/config.xml once you edit this from True to False. Restart jenkins using command. sudo service jenkins restart.
@pranayKiran This is not safe to disable login security.. This is just a trick when you loose admin password and not able to login to ui.. so that using this technique you can login back to ui and reset password and enable the security again. #devopsvijay
