My beef about my Z245 is that all the bolts/nuts are a different size (note the tensioner relief hole in video was 1/2" for one of them and 3/8" for the other - typical). Very little is standardized - need a full array of tools to work on that thing.
I expect this mower will last several seasons with decent care. ua-cam.com/users/postUgkx1VWTrayKBdCKAjzAcZ_Eg4dhHTae3LkN also recommend Also, I ran across the problem with it not starting the 2nd time I used it. There is a safety switch which is pushed in by the chute or mulching piece being attached to the deck. I took the cover off and it wouldn't start. Put it back on, no problem. It takes only a minute with 2 easily accessible wingnuts and no tools. This mower starts up first crank each time and it is a joy to use. It also mows in reverse by putting the key to the reverse area after starting and pushing in the triangular button. It will stay in reverse mode until you turn it off. All in all, for my homeowner needs, I really like this mower-and at 70 bucks a cut here in Miami, it's already more than 1/3 paid for itself in a month.
Lookit. No need to be nervous about being alone. It's going to get hard, but that's what makes it worth doing. Just loosen your belt, slide the deck out, and get busy. Don't worry about messing up; you'll be doing this many more times. Take your time. Service the deck. Clean it, grind the blades, address all the areas that require lubrication. Don't worry about getting a little dirty, no one will see. It'll be over before you know it and you can feel totally satisfied with a job well done. Oh, and take a shower; you're a mess.
Guys, Here is our Savior YaH The Heavenly FATHER (Genesis 1) HIMSELF was Who they Crucified/Pierced for our sins and “HERE IS THE PROOF” From the Ancient Egyptian Semitic: "Yad He Vav He" is what Moshe (Moses) wrote, when Moses asked YaH His Name (Exodus 3) Ancient Egyptian Semitic Direct Translation Yad - "Behold The Hand" He - "Behold the Breath" Vav - "Behold The NAIL"
I would greatly appreciate it somebody could tell me the length of the drive belt on a John Deer Z425, not the deck belt. Our local John Deer suppliers will not provide this information becaudse they know you can find it four times cheaper. I would greatly appreciate it.
I wish!! I have an Exmark Phaser. To remove the drive belt, there are no clearances to do so. You must remove the plastic fans on the trans shieves, then loosen the idler (no belt clearance). There is an electric clutch between the belts at the engine with a bracket and electrical wires (with no connectors!) to unhook to get the belt above. It is a nightmare. My machine is 12 years old and I have had to do this several times. I am an engineer and I say there is a design engineer out there that should be shot!😏
Showed absolutley nothing in detail on changing the drive belt, to much foolishness. If you have any mechanical common sence just stay safe with jack stand and frint scotch and just look at how its installed and you can do this yourself , sorry guys, as this video was of no help what so ever. 🤪🥴🤓
Your IQ level is obviously way too high to be watching my videos with all of my middle school humor. I suggest finding a more formal mower UA-cam channel with real professionals.
Y'all are dam near as throwed off as, and I have to admit it, me. Almost I said, cause you boys got number of years before you reach my age. Now since I'm in NE Texas, can you demonstrate that on a cub cadet ZForce 60, you know one those ole men sit down zero spin a round mowers with steering wheel instead of them there sticks like you use to row your jon boat out n middle of Fork to catch a mess of the green footballs. Cause it ain't as easily done than one of them cheap Juan Deeres I'm findin out, but since Y'all Texas boys I figured Y'all boys knowed better one them fellas that from other side of the great salt belt. Y'all heard of that place up yonder, that after couple years, any and everything on wheels just turns into rust, and melts back into the ground, except it won't ever grow nuthin there, cause all the salt kilts the dirt.
First of all Thank You sir for the most entertaining comment I have ever had on a video! I had to explain to my women folk in the house what a Lake Fork Green Football is. I need some help on the translation though, what is the great salt belt? My bet is the Red River??? Nope I don’t have one of those new fancy Cub Cadets to do a belt video on like you have. Just take some pictures and make sure to put the new one on the same as you took off. Mower Mike

Yep the 1/2 in tensioner hole took me a while to figure out. The mower is really just a toy
I've always used a bungy cord, Put it in the spring hook and pull, slicker than snot on a door knob.
Awesome video. Shake and Bake !!!
Thanks man! We put a lot into this one was a blast
Where does the spring connect to
Man this mower is long gone. Will have to google that one
