I wish they sold VW vans here in the states, would love to have one for camping trips. Especially with a diesel that would be amazing (even though diesel is crazy expensive rn)

Can you do a tech video of this engine of pros and cons as double dosing ad blue and things to look out for, and what can you offer on standard van with few add on parts without voiding warranty like a mapp and intake etc? did you ditch the adblue for this?

I have a 2012 Leon Supercopa tdi with 240bhp (56mm GTC1556VZ hybrid turbo (2.1 bar boost), standard fuel pump / injectors, 2.5" turbo back exhaust, larger turbo outlet damper, s3 intercooler, egr deleted, inlet manifold cleaned out, 4 bar map sensor, 2200 rail pressure sensor & remapped) but its just got the standard panel air filter (orange & cream type). Would it give me more power if i installed an AEM cone filter (the forums say no it wont). Im just wondering why darkside fit them to some cars?
@@DarksideDevelopments The Caddy is fully a VW. Ford rebadged the Caddy to the Tourneo connect, other than that, it has nothing to do with Ford. The first rebadged Ford will be the new Amarok, then the Transporter. It is built on the VW MQB platform, just like all the new VWs.
Probably nothing when driving it easy. I have an old Mk4 Golf with there 2260 and +100 injectors and it will do 50mpg no problem. Of course when giving it hell it uses more then it did but that how you get power, more fuel more air!
Go for the mk5 mate your love it, so much better than the mk4. I've heard the mk4s have dropped in value because no one wants them there that bad! How much you want for the mk4? I'll be doing you a favour taking off your hands TRUST ME!😏

The caddy’s don’t look bad (slowly growing on me). I think as darkside suggested if your thinking of getting one. See how one drives, see what the build quality is like up close. Make your on decision. And hit a speed bump a bit to quick, if it really is made by ford something will fall off!

I hope this is true. Haven’t been impressed with vw over recent years. Don’t know what I’d get next. It has to be commercial for tax reasons but don’t think there’s any company’s producing decent commercial vehicles anymore.

@@berry1002 you’re right, they did. The Caddy and Connect are both built at Volkswagen’s Poland plant and based on all VW components, there is no Ford in the new 2K7 Caddy. The next Transporter though is going to be based on the Transit custom, the Amarok on the Ranger. I’m not 100% but the next large Transit is going to be based on the same platform as Crafter/MAN TGE, part of this alliance was also to allow Ford access to the MEB platform for electric vehicles, as Ford have been somewhat slack in their plans for electrification.

The things other manufacturers didnt think about that set vw above the rest. Volkswagen or not i think we can all agree its no longer the company it once was.
Ive had this on the ramp, it's all ford underneath and the engine is shoe horned into and engine bad it wasn't really designed for so definitely not VW based

You get more noise, at that power you won't need it. Above about 280hp the airbox is restrictive
