@Jim Beem I love Finland, i have no real connection with but i have a lot of respect for the people and the history. My opinion some of the most driven sovereign country in the world!
when I entered the service I visited my grandfather to see him at the veterans' nursing home. it was agreed that I will visit him again on my first vacation and we can talk about war. He died in the night just as I entered the service in the morning. No more talking. I missed it. It was a tough time, but I decided that I would join the army as hard as I could. I am an officer yes. In special forces. No Russian will come here to try anything anymore. Finnish SISU. Thank you all Finnish veterans that we have a free country. You can demand from us, but it's damn hard to take anything. We have a really tough and very well trained army

Old comment but I must say you have an impressively detailed knowledge of history. I did my conscription in the Guards Jaeger Regiment, which back then was the Finnish Guard that was in Bulgaria. The main marching song of the regiment "Kauan on kärsitty" still tells about the Battle of Gorni Dubnik. Sadly shortly after the Finnish Guard was disbanded and Finns were required to serve in the Russian army, which they refused and things escalated. So basically Russians created a problem out of nowhere when the Finnish Guard was happily serving besides them with common interests. Anyway I'm happy that we managed to contribute to the freedom of Bulgaria, another small Europan nation suffering under imperialism!

Now at middle age maybe im not useful as a soldier, so im operating as a paramedic with red cross to be somewhat useful in WCS
