Love it. Should do Star Control II next. The inspiration for Mass Effect is clear even way back in 1992. Todd Howard listed it as a big inspiration for Starfield.
Having watched Bruce and Lawrence all the way back to Machinima days (yes Lawrence was a laptop back then), I won't accept anything other than these two being absolute national treasures! ❤
I know this might not be right for this channel, but a full playthrough of this would be really neat. I doubt I’d ever play this myself, but Lawrence’s enthusiasm and Bruce’s discovery are endlessly entertaining and seeing the game through their eyes would be an awesome perspective.
I'm glad we have Lawrence. He always brings sweet nerd energy and culture to us. I will always appreciate obscure references and deep-diving the meanings. Hard-Netting!! E
My birthday was May 29th and I can’t tell you how freaking amazing it was to find out that the very next day, a game I’ve been waiting on for years got a surprise release
It's not as noticeable in the remake. But in Shock 1, the computer is playing its own game. You can see it in cyberspace. It is playing "The Game of Life" by John Conway.
This channel always needs to be on the Internet in some form or going by some name and featuring some cast. Wholesome, fun, and informative. Cheers mates 🍻
Actually super educational video. System Shock is a game I've always wanted to play but never have. Hearing all these cool facts and how influential it is really convincing me. Will definitely be trying the remake.
This is the video format i was waiting for - Lawrence teaching "cool ska boy" Bruce about all the nerdy shit he missed out on because he was doing some "cool ska boy" shit!
my brother in christ that was a cool video I feel educated and fulfilled and feel a strange need to go watch hackers again. super interesting and can definitely see the influence in lots of modern games can now imagine the excitement devs must get implementing some of these elements into their games I mean cyberpunk 2077 devs sat around a table dreaming up how cool they could make hacking and walking through cyberspace oh man insane how far things have come in graphical terms so cool and we've got noble historians like Lawrence to teach us these things thanks so very much you folks.
I put off playing the GOG system shock because the controls are a headache but it was obvious a good game was there. I got the re-master... holy crap it's good. I can't believe a game this old could have gameplay elements so fleshed out. If you like gameplay that tells a story rather than B movie video games, get this.
I really like the idea of you guys doing like a "video game history" type show.
Love it. Should do Star Control II next. The inspiration for Mass Effect is clear even way back in 1992. Todd Howard listed it as a big inspiration for Starfield.
Yes, please more of that!!! ❤
yes please, i'd love more "Academic Gameplays"!
This game is basically what Lawrence sees in the real world and now Bruce is being invited into it with open arms. Love to see it
Game academy needs to be a series on this channel
I absolutely love it when Lawrence nerds out and gives backgrounds and lessons on games etc. One of my favourite things of Inside Gaming/Funhaus
Gotta love when Lawrence brings the education and gaming into one hell of a good video. Oh and of course the cyber glasses. Can’t forget about them 😂
I love this lore dump of a game I never knew was this important.
One of the best PC games ever, and probably the reason we have a lot of games that merge RPG with FPS
Idk why but this reminded me of when Lawrence first started doing on-screen appearances at machinima. Crazy that’s almost ten years ago
I have never enjoyed a sponsored video from any channel more than this one
Oh man watching you guys play stuff brings me back. You guys are great.
This game really needs more recognition than it receives. Especially since, I at least feel, that its sequel seems to get more attention.
Having watched Bruce and Lawrence all the way back to Machinima days (yes Lawrence was a laptop back then), I won't accept anything other than these two being absolute national treasures! ❤
god I can't wait for Lawrence to stream System Shock
This has got to be my favourite video on this channel.
I know this might not be right for this channel, but a full playthrough of this would be really neat. I doubt I’d ever play this myself, but Lawrence’s enthusiasm and Bruce’s discovery are endlessly entertaining and seeing the game through their eyes would be an awesome perspective.

I love to seeing the 2 boys having FUN in the same HAUS.
This video had that old school "Funhaus" vibes to it. Loved it. Also a quick trip down history lane with law dawg. Great video!
Whilst this was sponsored, I LOVED the concept of this video. I'd 100% watch something similar to this again. Great job, fellas!
This is awesome! I learned a lot from you Lawrence! I would love to see more game history videos like this!
This video was great. Love this kind of content
Love the history lesson in this style of gameplay video. I really enjoyed when Lawrence did the Demo scene breakdown over on Inside Gaming or Funhaus.
I was losing it by the end of the video. Those glasses are legendary! haha
My birthday was May 29th and I can’t tell you how freaking amazing it was to find out that the very next day, a game I’ve been waiting on for years got a surprise release
Big old school funhaus vibes on this vid, I'm a fan. I'd definitely watch more of these
1.) Odd seeing you two sharing the same room. 2.) I loved this.
Solid video with great research and laughs.
This is you best content yet!!! Such an awesome piece of video gaming history content
I was waiting for the game to kick in to see if Lawrence forgot to fix the audio. Good man, good man.
When Lawrence takes over, he does the stance from the hacker in the beginning
Love this gaming histoy format. More ples
"Welcome To The Matrix" and suddenly glasses. PERFECT :D
16:36 Lawrence has never been so alive 🤭
System Shock is great! What is that transition song?! I swear I’ve heard it before.
I had the same thought! I know I've heard this song and I kinda want to add it to my playlist!
We need a regular dose of culture from Lawrence like this now and again.
A video series on important and influential video games would be awesome brave knights.
The off-the-cuff deep dive was really cool. I’d definitely watch more
Just FANTASTIC! what a time.
I absolutely loved this episodes, more like this please!

I love how that “E” was snuck in there haha
I love system shock but don't know much about the history cause my first time playing was in 03. Cool facts thanks Lawrence!!
This video ruled. Love this format!
I absolutely LOVE this video, you guys have to do more in the same vein. Also lawdog needs to keep those shades on all the time.
This video gives massive Caravan of Garbage vibes. When are yall crossing over with The Weekly Planet??
I really wanted that “Time to Hack” joint to go off at some point lol!
Actually super educational video. System Shock is a game I've always wanted to play but never have. Hearing all these cool facts and how influential it is really convincing me. Will definitely be trying the remake.
Can “Academic Gameplay” be a recurring series? This is amazing. I would actually become a Patron for something like that
I like this gaming history style video please do stalker series next
Immersive sims really need to make a comeback. It's my favorite genre. It just sucks there's not too many of these type of games.
Really cool video would love to see more of these
Lawrence rocking the crap out of the GitS Batou glasses.
System Shock 2 is one, if not, the scariest game i've ever played. Those damn monkeys
Lawrence challening his inner Venjent with the opening of the game lol.
This just makes me wanna see you guys play Half Life
My hope is that those Hacker Man Tiny Glasses never go away
I want to see Bruce and Lawrence play Mech Assault 1 and 2. Not Warrior, but Assault. I think Bruce would get a kick out of it
Finally, Lawrence is one with the internet as it was prophesied
This is the video format i was waiting for - Lawrence teaching "cool ska boy" Bruce about all the nerdy shit he missed out on because he was doing some "cool ska boy" shit!
How did Lawrence miss the "Bladerunner" reference in the new remake's intro (kitchen)? 🤔
We need Lawrence, the Quintessential Gamer, to do a review for the System Shock remake and post it here.
Brilliant. Art within art commenting on art.
I assume both titles (the song and the game) were inspired by the famous 1970 book "Future Shock".
This was hilarious, and interesting! Also love when you guys are in person bouncing off of each other. More video game history!
yooooo awesome work!
I would love more stuff like this.
When Marathon comes out you should do this again
I love the edit on this video
Great video idea, love it

MORE VIDS LIKE THIS, PLEASE GUYS!
this game was miles ahead of anything on the market at the time. to say it is a groundbreaking game is a understatement.
Oh YES baby this is the content I want
I was really hoping we would have gotten the old FH (TIME 2 HACK) clip when Bruce started hacking lol
How is Lawrence doing the E sound effect without the soundboard!
Throw in a couple of memes and you got demo disk successor! Great video, more!
"Real game for real gamers" energy right here and I missed it
Honestly, I wanna watch LawDawgg play this game so bad! His excitement for it is intoxicating
Think my great great great great great grandfather played System Shock.
I like this format
It'd be wild if this defeated Zelda TotK for GOTY, talk about a underdog victory
What a great video, ty IG
What is the intermission song?
I would like to know as well
this is my second time watching this, really great work everyone I love this
This is a great video idea
