I love Sunmi's consistent use of the misunderstood woman theme. From the "left behind" woman of Gashina, Catwoman in Tail, to the call of the Siren, she continues to play on this theme in new and interesting ways. Now we have a sympathetic Black Widow. Something that we judge women trapped in abusive relationships for. "Borderline" is honest and vulnerable about the negative effects bpd has had on her life.
This is a consistent theme in all of her singles and I absolutely adore her for that.

i really cant explain it, but this song gives me such strong nostalgia. i remember i had gone to bangkok in june last year with my family, and it was one of the happiest times of my life. my hotel was a few metres away from the korea town in sukhumvit plaza, and as we were leaving for the airport to go back home, this song had just been released and was playing on the screen in korea town. every time i play this song and its like a portal which transports me back to that beautiful time. as i listen to it, every memory plays vividly in my brain- every late night stroll on the brightly lit streets, the shopping trips we had, getting drenched in the heavy rain, sitting by the window and watching the lit up buildings. it fills me up with the kind of happiness that i dont get for weeks living here. its been my go song for so long, and its beautiful.

Cursed by Aphrodite to never stop falling in love, she kept on falling in love with mortal men, who passed away and left her behind. Sunmi's hair is dyed the color of saffron, which is associated as a symbol of Eos(the color of the rising sun, dawn). I could write an essay on this MV. and I will.
The earliest time shown is 1856. This the only timeline where the effect she has influences multiple men, and she seems surprised by it, rushing to one man's side and shaking him, unsure what's happened - perhaps this is the first time and she can't control her... let's call it her heat. This is the least intimacy we're shown that still kills, and she seems to move on from it quickly even though it surprised her.

idk she seems to be the cause of their death unintentionally and intentionally , even though she’s lived long enough to know what happens once she gets intimate with them, it’s almost as if she sucks out their life force if she touches them or kisses them (reminds me of rouges powers in xmen), she’s most likely an immortal siren.

Noir = black and white - not a colourful life - no life, no love, no joy - miserable/empty. Always feel alone and blind due to being in darkness, so, no light to see where they are going.
The ones who walk at night will stumble and do not know at what they stumble cause they have no light. Also, no empathy, thus cannot connect with people.
