Her approach speed is now close to being maximised into lift, with former drift across the bar having been almost totally eliminated. I suspect however that her visualisation technique needs more strengthening as eye movement to the left (just before running) is minimal. (See how marked this is with Latiskina). To fully understand my point one needs basic NLP knowledge. I LOVE to see expert coaching (as here) as it is so very rare even within sport's highest levels. Very well done to both of you1
Her run up is a lot straighter than the other Ukrainians, Levchenko and Herashchenko. Two different coaching camps. She also has fewer jumps these days than she did a couple of years ago, which is a good strategy.
Her arm placement before take off is atrocious. Same problem with Yulia but her arm placement is different wrong than Yaro. That is where Lasitskene is the best. Yaro extreme take off ankle over pronation looks to be a career ending injury just waiting to happen. I doubt we see a long career. Ukraine has abundance of amazing raw female talent but very poor coaching.

Yaro has been beaten in recent world championships by two different Australian women. Patterson and Olyslaugers/McDermott. Yulia is barely jumping 1.8 and Yaro needs Australia to be banned from competition like Russia but then Serbian girl Angelina Topic will probably beat her next.

Mahuchikh, she's only 19!! She was jumping 1.92 when she was only 15. Going to be great to watch this young lady continue to go higher. Her PB is 2.06, 2 cms short of Blanka Vlasic, who set her mark when she was 26 (I personally do not recognize Costadinova's 2.09).
Why do you not recognise kostadinova’s? She was famously anti drugs and in any event drugs don’t really help high jumpers that much (might help you get over an injury but no much else)
Won't be more than a year before Yaroslava betters 2.06. With a few years still until she hits her peak she will most likely break the WR. On a good day some of her jumps are already above 2.10 but she'll hit on the way down. I can see her becoming the first to clear 7'.
It will be kind of sad if she'll end with no gold' at 2016 she couldn't participate after Russia was banned and now with covid and the olympic's postpone . to think that she could have 2 gold medals now..

Now she may have another year or two left at the top, but she is not her best right now. And she did nothing wrong, the officials were supposed to only ban the cheaters, but chose to ban the whole country going on 5 years now. Because the west leaders made it political and hates russia. But the fans from both countries want to compete against the best from both countries and that is usually russia and america.

I do not think so. The sponsors send them all their clothes, they don't choose them. The sponsors themselves are competitors ( for Lasitskene-Nike, for Mahuchikh-Puma). The athletes have very different jumps and the level of physical fitness. I think now the Lasitskene coaching staff should pay attention to the opponents and borrow something from their colleagues from Ukraine. Otherwise, the train may leave irrevocably(((

Длинные шорты подходят мужикам, которые намекают на длинное достоинство, девочкам они только мешают. Чтобы натянуть прорезененую или эластичную ткань, тратятся джоули энергии и скорость падает. Лучше приучить спортсменок в перерывах одевать запахнутые юбки из х\б полотенцев и пончо из них же - для того, чтобы мышцы не остывали.
Ярослава очень перспективная, но если будут изолировать сильных поыгуний, то ей не с кем соревноваться и 2:10 она не возьмёт. Рекорды берутся в борьбе.

Да, это так, Вы абсолютно правы. На крупных соревнованиях цель другая, там нужна победа. И атлет вынужден избегать всякие риски, он прыгает все высоты, ничего не пропуская, тратит свои силы. Там важна каждая попытка. Это не зайти в сектор свежим, махнуть начальную 220 и выйти потом сразу на 240, как любили делать Ухов и Бондаренко:-)) Для установления мировых рекордов нужны совсем другие условия и конкуренция больше мешает, чем помогает. .

You are noting Yuliya Levchenko. The great champion's have averaged 5' 11" height and 133 lbs. over many years. Yuliya is right there. She has been world class since she was high school age. And has made the vast majority of her competitors feel competing against her was unfair!
