MYANMAR (BURMA) hill town of Kalaw

(All recordings are made during our three week holiday and every video shows the activities of one day.)
Nowadays not many tourists come to Kalaw, but the town was popular with the British during colonial rule. The hill station is located at an elevation of 1310 metres, 50 km from the Inle lake. The town still feels like a high-altitude holiday resort - the air is cool, the atmosphere is calm and the tree-lined streets still contain a smattering of colonial-era architecture. In this video a visit to the local market and Shwe Oo Min pagoda.
