  • In this sermon, Pastor Chris continues our new series, Clarity In Context. He delves into the verse Matthew 7:1, "Do not judge, or you too will be judged." Pastor Chris reminds us that a judge is someone who takes a seat before another and has the power to condemn. Jesus was the only person on earth to ever have the right to judge. If we accept Jesus in our place, we forfeit the right to be a judge.
Pastor Chris encourages us to take action through awareness of ourselves and our sins, humbling ourselves, and repentance. He reminds us that we all have our own logs in our eyes, so we should be careful about pointing out the specks in other people's eyes. He also encourages us to be more loving and forgiving towards others, even when it's hard.
This sermon is a powerful reminder that we should not judge others, but instead should focus on our own relationship with God. It is a message that is relevant to everyone.
Watch along if you are struggling with judging others, or if you want to learn more about how to avoid this temptation.
