They truly hated Queen. Morning Hap, I am Aliper from Indonesia, big fan of the Beatles since I was in Junior high school, big fan of Queen since I was in Senior high school, and 8th of December really mean something to me because it's my daughter birthday, so in one side I feel sad but in the other side I feel happy, so I don't know what I am feeling. Probably cuz he was the trouble maker!! 🤣 one of my first memories of the Beatles was sitting in the living room, eating TV dinners, & watching the ED Sullivan Show. Freddie did this song trying to write and have it sound like a song that John Lennon would have written. Lennon was I believe Freddie’s second favorite artist that died, the first being Jimmy Hendrix. I don’t really think Freddie was putting anything about his life, except his honoring John Lennon.
