    *Thank you very much for this episode. It is very helpful.* Anything newer out there now after the XS-10? How about the X-S10 vs XT-4? *Did Fuji update the X-S10 firmware since you made this video?*

    • @AleSuggests
      @AleSuggests  2 роки тому +1

      Hey, thanks! I did not try the XT-4 yet. To be honest, the X-S10 is good enough for me, and it seems to tick almost all the boxes.
      Fuji has released a fair amount of new firmwares for the X-S10 and, although, most improvements are marginal, they are still improvements. You can find the list of every new feature on the X-S10 firmware page: fujifilm-x.com/en-gb/support/download/firmware/cameras/x-s10/
      But, for me, the greatest news is that Fuji has now released publicly their lens protocol, so that third party lens manufacturers have finally started to release autofocus lenses for Fuji.
      I hope this helps, and thank you so much for passing by 😉

    you should compare video footage of both this cameras ...

      You are right, I should have done it... but I no longer have the XT200 with me :(
      If I remember correctly, this video was shot using the XT200: ua-cam.com/video/XXcZb2HNPCs/v-deo.html

    My X-S10 has transformed my UA-cam channel…looks so much better than my crappy old Nikon D3400!

      Great camera! Not so straightforward to use sometimes... but really good for the price.

    Hi, do you already use xt200 and xs10 on longer live streaming? My xt200 receives reaching temparature and shut off

    • @AleSuggests
      @AleSuggests  3 роки тому

      Yup, same problem here. The X-T200 would just shut down after some minutes of video recording, even when hooked via HDMI because of overheating. I made a whole video about it 👉 ua-cam.com/video/Xqep5s-HHf4/v-deo.html 👈
      The X-S10 is much better, but not ideal for long live-streaming in my opinion, for the same issue. I think Panasonics are the best for live-streamings. You could consider: GH5, G7 and G85 for cheaper solutions. I hope this helps, and thanks so much for passing by ;)

    x-s10 has the same timelapse features like x-t200?.......

    • @AleSuggests
      @AleSuggests  2 роки тому +1

      Yes, the X-S10 does have timelapse... however, in my honest opinion, in the X-T200, this feature is a little more intuitive and easier to find in the menu... but, yes you can do timelapses with the X-S10 just fine.
      I hope this helps, and thanks for passing by ;)

      @@AleSuggests does it have in camera timelapse movie mode?

    • @AleSuggests
      @AleSuggests  2 роки тому +1

      @@danybursuc594 The X-S10 will ask you to select how many pictures to take, and how often. At the end of the timelapse it will NOT make a video, but just keep the separate pictures (as far as I can tell)... check this video out min 7:34 to see how it's done ua-cam.com/video/WRNsrU7kIfo/v-deo.html .
      The X-T200, instead, will give you an option to create a video automatically (in camera), and will, also, keep both the video and the separate pics.
      I hope this clarifies

    Good vid. Lots of good info. I wanted to see them side by side. I loved the size of the XT200, when I picked it up in a shop, so the XS10 should be awesome too. Trying to decide between the Fuji XS10 and a Panasonic G85/95. The Panasonic is slightly ahead at this point, but good to get more info on the XS10.

    • @AleSuggests
      @AleSuggests  3 роки тому +2

      Thanks! I was initially very interested in the Panasonic G80/85, too. I have chosen the Fuji simply for the slow-motion feature, which is nice to have. Otherwise, Panasonic cameras are generally packed with several very useful features, they have loads of decent budget lenses, and they basically never overheat. On the other end, Fuji autofocus is better in video mode, which can be important in some cases. Let us know what you decide in the end, maybe? :)
      And thanks for passing by ;)

      @@AleSuggests Pretty sure I'm going for the G85 or 95 now. The Panasonics just take better, more consistent images for video. As far as photos go the Fuji is ahead, but video is my focus AND the difference in photos is less noticeable. It would be great to have the form factor and film simulations of the Fuji, but hopefully, I can create some LUTs that will give me some of those alternative looks. I also checked out the Olympus EM5 mk3 - smaller size, best IBIS, good auto focus. Unfortunately, they seem to be quite expensive, have terrible sound, and unuseable 1080. I can't believe Olympus missed that opportunity, with good 1080 and decent preamps they could have easily been worth a little more money. AND I would still be able to share lenses with my mate who just bought the G85... Oh well, she's a hard road to finding the perfect camera.

      @@actstuntcam If you go for Panasonics wait for a few days until the GH6 is released. The prices of older models will drop, especially if you buy second hand. The GH5 mk1 is also a great camera you may consider, but it may be bigger than the footprint you are after.
      Another big advantage of Fujis is the noise, btw. The noise is basically non-existent in low light and high ISO. It is a big deal for videos. I had many micro four thirds cameras, and I love the system, but noise is often very difficult to handle. Make sure you consider this if you shoot indoor. Best of luck for your purchase!

      @@AleSuggests Thanks for the advice about the GH6. I'm not going to buy for a few weeks yet, so I will hopefully get the benifit of dropping prices :) The prices here in New Zealand, on the G85 and G95, have already dropped by $200 since I started looking 6 weeks ago - so that is good. I don't think the GH5 is as good as the G95 AND the GH5 mk2 is ridiculously expensive. The XS10 is not for me. I've had to search endlessly for good video footage. In general, only 80% of XS10 footage is acceptable - Maybe it is capable of producing good video, but clearly, it is extremely hard to achieve good results. It may need to be set-up perfectly, or perhaps you need specialist editing equipment. Maybe the XS10 just doesn't like UA-cam compression. I've only seen a couple of bad videos produced on the G85 - everything else has been good-excellent. Also, the XS10 has terrible image stabilisation, that causes glitches, weird strobbing effects, and it looks like it regularly skips frames, so it isn't for me - I need something that produces good results without having to be a professional videographer. Also, the XS10 has no weather protection, and whilst the build quality is supposed to be amazing, if Fuji isn't willing to back their gear, I'm not really willing to trust it.

    • @AleSuggests
      @AleSuggests  3 роки тому +1

      Yeah, perhaps I may agree about Panasonic being easier to setup in order to produce good results. It may have to do with the custom mode functionality (which for me every camera should have). Most Panasonic cameras are indeed videocentric, so it may make sense to pick it up in your case, actually. Let us know how it goes in the end ;)
      P.s. in my very last uploaded video I used an XS10 as a main camera (just in case you're interested in another look at the quality):
