Hi, Do you know why there is no lug/pin on the ball end as is on stock shifter rod ? I'm having alsorts of issues with my install, sometimes it's brilliant then i lose gears. i've tried both spacers the thin one is right by measurement but i lose 3rd and reverse. i put the other in and now same thing. i've searched youtube high n low and can't make any improvement,
Darrin, please one question. Is the bus trigger shifter identical to the bug trigger shifter other than the length? If I wanted to install the bus shifter in my bug to get an "ape hanger" effect, would it work? Has anyone tried this for fun?
Always a pain on them shifters and them plates are opposite from what you would think if its 3/4 between the shifter and floor you use the short one and if its 1/2 then you want the shifter higher with the tall spacer. The directions will tell you the opposite it must be the chinese translation.lol.

thats pretty neat on the shiftier darrin.
Looks like a nice shiftier
Dude! If you block off the air from the shroud and keep the heater boxes you're gonna nuke that motor. You need the air to blow through them!

yes you can use a bus shifter in a bug
must be hot in FL with the fan running and sweat drops
Interesting how to... lots of good information :)
I put a short throw empi shifter in our rail. feels alot different than the stock shifter. took getting used to.
Cool
thanks for the look at the after market install.
used this as as a guide to tighten my own empi shifter on a 1971 dormobile bay
Hope it works good.
Nice bus!
Darrin..rule of thumb put the shifter in reverse then tighten the shifter
I think the larger measurement from the floor to the linkage would need the smaller adapter. I paused the video and that's what I read.
Sweet!
