problem is that the older woman ( forgot her name) she seems to blame all of this on the U.S etc. which is a problem. the ideological conflicts have been happening before the U.S. even formed. we didn't create any ideological warfare. but we didn't help though. problem is this Islamic religious ideology and not all fundamentalism is dangerous. i.e jainism and Buddhism or amish. we don't worry about them for a reason. if the fundamentals of the texts aren't violent for the majority. so those I have the quarrels with. but other than that, it's good.
Maybe actually google her ideas. Her name is Nawal Al Saadawi and everything she said is true. Colonialism is what reinforces religious fundamentalism and not the religious ideology itself. If you think the US didn't force the Islamization of the Middle East, then you are ignorant of certain historical and sociopolitical facts. If you want to discredit this genius of a woman, then at least look at her views and try to refute them. You won't be able to.
