Totally admire your attitude to bad behaviour, set the rules and stick to ‘em. Thank you for all your skill and experience and willingness to share them. 🇦🇺🙏👏
Recently found your channel. As an engineer who started out as an iron worker, my real education came from work like this which I carry into my engineering work every day. Those protrusions on the bearing are called trunnions.
Excellent video! There’s A LOT of solid information you put out. I do a lot of the same work and it’s always great to see someone else’s techniques. Keep it up and great job
Congrats on your channel! I know tons of people are going to appreciate your perspective and skills. I would also like to say that your camerawoman did a phenomenal job.
Good job. Decent video and edit. One tip is try to keep the voice volume up at the same level. That can be tricky with mic on the camera especially when moving around. Tho can be corrected later. Nice touch fast forwarding the grinding.
Is there a reason you don't use a auto hood? I prefer them as it frees up my hand to hold something I strike with the stick. When closing a bevel like these, is it better to ryn beads until its full or is it just the same to weave across? Thanks and nice job with the first video
I just don’t like them , I have used these for almost thirty years and you just get used to them. On a big bevel you’d definitely run stringers to fill it up , these were small so one root pass and one nice weave filled them up.

Quality work backed by experience. Doesn't get better than that.
Nice clean work !! Top notch keep it up. The hard part is teaching the kids that were taught by old school blacksmiths.

Yeah , I know I wouldn’t want to watch all that in real time.
