    Omg I tried the Krave Beauty Matcha Hemp Hydrating cleanser for about a week, and it made my skin feel soooo tight and dry afterwards every single time! :( I was so sad. (I have normal to dry skin, no oily zones.) Luckily it works wonders for my husband (even made the blackheads/sebaceous filaments on his nose a lot less visible!) so it wasn't a waste of money. I switched to the Hada Labo Gokujyun Hyaluronic Acid Bubble Foaming cleanser and it feels AMAZING. I love it soooo much! 😍 I'm surprised though because I always thought foaming cleansers were more drying??

      So weird! But the only consistent thing you can count on in skincare is that your mileage may vary! Glad you found one that works! The hada labo is supposed to be a ph 5.5. so it shouldn't strip like a traditional foaming cleanser with a a high ph.

      Oh no that restriction makes sense but also it's a cleanser.... it really is a tricky brand for some. I'm hoping they will become more widely available in the future, I have no doubt they're working towards it.

    Thanks! the right cleanser is the trickiest thing to find in my opinion. I had ordered Heimish and the real barrier cleansers 2 weeks ago I am waiting for the package to get to me actually ;) (I was thinking 6.5 is technically acidic so wishtrend may market it as low ph I suppose - I confess I always personally doubt brands that are offsprings of online shops, it is probably just me being cynical...)

    The reason of the packaging of the By Wishtrend cleanser, that fine powders love to fly and in a small bottle they create pressure and the bottle could explode. An there is sodium bicarbonate in there which is alkaline. :)

    I just ordered today the Krave Beauty Matcha cleanser from Beauty Box Korea ( payed an arm and a leg the shipping to Italy :) ) and I really have great expectations from it. In the past, I've used the Cosrx Low ph morning cleanser and the Klavuu Pure pearlsation cleansing foam, but I didn't have a good experience. Both of them dried my skin and burnt my eyes. I prefer western products, but I thought to give one last chance to korean cleansers, so fingers crossed.

    I know you don't like essential oils (me neither), however I recently discovered the Ren ClearCalm Clay Cleanser, and omg it's incredible. My skin is so, so dry and sensitive but this cleanser deeply cleanses without feeling stripping. That product along with the Ren Bio Retinoid Cream (which is amazing for skin texture and breakouts- the only thing that has ever worked for me in years) has completely changed my skin. Ren does seem to love essential oils and I wish they would take them out, though to be fair these two products in particular must have them in super low concentration because the scent is very subtle:) Also loved this video! I'm intrigued by the Heimish Cleanser:)

    Unfortunately many companies market a product as "slight acidic pH" or "low pH cleanser", while the pH is 6.5. Preferably skincare products have a pH as close as possible to your skin pH, so about 4.8-5. Although pH is not everything, the amount and type of surfactant used of course are the main determining factors in how stripping a cleanser is. It's also a bit annoying so many companies start listing the EWG score, how green their products are. Please stop that, EWG is unreliable, and the "clean" ingredient movement is nonsense.
    Some other fragrance free cleansers I like:
    DM Balea Med Ultra Sensitive Waschgel (pH5.5) - this is my all time favorite cleanser, and it's only €2.95.
    Dr Sam Flawless Cleanser (pH5)
    Avene Antirougeurs Clean Lait Nettoyant
    HighDroxy Calm Cleanser (pH6.5) - the pH is a bit too high, but it's a very mild non foaming gel.

    I've used so many cleansers but find it harder to find good K-Beauty ones compared to J-Beauty ones. My favourites have been Shiseido Senka Collagen foam cleanser, Etude house collagen cleanser, Sana Nameraka and Hada Labo cleansers. I bought the Neogen cleanser which I have yet to try. I really like the sound of that matcha Wish Trend one but I have super dry skin so it may not suit me if it's for oily skin

      My skin is exceptionally dry so I can't use that everyday, but oh my goooooooood SHISEIDO SENKA COLLAGEN FOAMMMM omg I didn't expect it to feel soooo luxuuuuuuuurious!! I need the SMALLEST amount to wash my face. It's SO cushy and thick and foamy!! Feels AMAZING. My mom is totally sold too. I did test the pH at home and it was like 9. :( I personally think it's totally fine to use cleansers with pH 4.5-7 or whatever though.

  • @wonniek.3536
    @wonniek.3536 4 роки тому +2

    That heimish one sounds like an HG. I'm a total hoe for thick, luxurious feeling cleansers. I've been testing some cleansers lately: The super popular Round Lab Dokdo cleansing foam - reviewed so well by Koreans and it looked so gentle and mild - thought I would love the shit out of it, but,,, i don't like it??? It has low foam and is unscented, but doesn't clean well and is a tad bit drying? Idk,,, I regret getting it. Shiseido senka collagen whip foam (pink tube) - feels SO THICK, and BUBBLY and absolutely LUXURIOUS. It has the BEST texture I have EVER tried in my entire life. But alas, my skin is too dry for it and I tested the pH with my water and it came out 9. >.> It feels absolutely amazing and I would GLADLY use it for the rest of my life if it didn't strip my skin too much if used too many times in a row. You need the TINIEST amount too! Garnier Skin Active sulfate-free gentle skin cleanser - surprisingly is really good. Very gentle and never strips my dry face. Low foam. Takes everything off really quickly. Actually really love it. Just wish the packaging was prettier lol, and it didn't smell a little,, strong? It's fragrance free tho.

  • @n3r0n3
    @n3r0n3 4 роки тому

    ps. I hate the squeaky clean feeling too but there are situations when stripping your skin of its sebum layer would theoretically make sense (assuming you replenish it quickly): removing the external sebum layer may in fact facilitate the penetration of hydrophilic substances that would have a hard time crossing it. Then the way across our epidermis is still extremely complicated but at least once sebum is out of the way they have one less bridge to cross. The point with these strategies is as usual: "is it worth it?"

      If you cleansing makeup, it’s best to use a cleansing balm. I highly recommend Farmacy Green Clean Cleansing Balm, it works best in removing your heavy makeup. You can bought it at Sephora.

      Please don't. I have combination oily skin and I have use this cleanser for 1 year every day and now my moisture barrier have been severly compromised. To the extent that everything will cause sensitivity on my skin even some products which previously worked. Currently I am trying to find products which will help to repair my moisture barrier based on Kelly's recommendation.

    The Krave Matcha Hemp Hydrating Cleanser stings my face. Anyone else have this experience? I'm trying to lock down the ingredient that is causing the irritation. Perhaps the Citric Acid.

    I thought the cosrx low ph cleanser was going to be in this category, what's the reason it isn't? I recently purchased it but the smell is horrible, it does the job but is it normal to have this kind of plastic smell?
