That Ice Cube painting looks great behind the lamp on the wall, you could also place some wall art on the wall in the hallway that when you enter your apartment you will be greeted with artwork kinda like a gallery. You could also put some of those little lights over each painting in the hallway. I don't think you should put anything above the TV directly or if you chose to do so a subtle art piece.
