Google Pixel 6 Cracked Screen Glass Only Repair. Same as Google Pixel 7 Cracked Screen Glass Only Repair, and very similar to iPhone 12/iPhone 13/iPhone 14/Pro/Plus/MAX Cracked Screen Glass Only Repair. Glass only repair does not "unknown parts error message" for iPhones as all original chips remain on the phone.

I think I found one of the mistakes you made, was it a bubble left under the screen by any chance? It looks like it from the part of the video where the screen is turned off, but it might just be a smudge/fingerprint.
There is a dust under the glass. Hope chat gpt recognize asia as people🤣
I can finally comment on this now that the contest is over!
The "mistakes" were that upon close inspection I realized I didn't fully clean the "rim" of the front camera area. While I did not notice a difference in quality of the photos taken through the front camera, it is noticeable compared to a new screen at close inspection.
The other mistake is that I put the tape for the bottom of the screen a bit too high. This isn't something you can spot when the screen is on, but when it is off you can see a tiny sliver of the tape that almost looks like a sponge at the bottom right edge.
One of the things I find challenging about filming a repair is that the device is further away than I'd normally have it and constantly checking to ensure the phone is centered & in focus of the frame causes me to fall out of the 'flow state'/get tired much faster. Perhaps there's a bit of anxiety involved with knowing others may watch it to learn as well. Anyhow, that's my excuse! I will keep trying until I perfect it though.

So sorry, did not get to work on the complete entry list today. I will finish it tomorrow and let's see who wins the phone!

a.) You did not start to separate the glass from the OLED from the corner, you started in the middle. It’s quite difficult to see, but I also don’t think you removed the bezel from the screen beforehand
b.) Why did the tomato turn red?
Because it saw the salad dressing!

I have a Samsung, and even with no scratches, the fingerprint sensor works maybe 20% of the time.
It's a great price of 30 bucks at least compared to 170

The fingerprint sensors in Samsung phones are so bad. It unlocks like 1/10😢. They could use better tech but better cost reducing and customer fooling.
I bought the repair kit and killed my screen. But that's on me. I should have taken it slower. My impatient ass just got served

I can see that in a part of the video you used the thermometer in the actual phone instead of the glass, also why did you removed the whole screen, since you said multiple times in other videos that it isn't necessary
Yes. With the Pixel 6A(show in the short), I did it with the screen removed along with the bezel removed from the screen while the Pixel 6(long form video) was done without removing the screen off the phone.
Removing the screen off the phone and the bezel frame indeed isn't necessary. However, as explained in the shorts removing the frame allows for a parallel entry of both the wire and the OCA blade. I had introduced this technique after realizing many were still have difficulty with the initial insertion of the tool.
I am seeing our customers are having a much easier time with the repair by taking the extra step.
Because the glass removal process goes much smoother with the display off the frame and the bezel removed, it often ends up saving time also.
The sticker thermometer, although not strictly necessary, is also a very helpful tool and it is part of the combination of accessories we market as the "pro tool kit" which we have been including free of charge at a loss as they make the repair that much easier.

You left a small bubble of air under the glass, also it looks like you misaligned the camera a little bit
Thank you for your comment! I cannot confirm nor deny it so that the contest remains fare for all but if by any chance you mean by the fingerprint sensor area, that's actually just a smudge from my fingerprint.

@@ecdiy after reviewing the footage, you seem to have misaligned the glass because the bottom right edge shows parts of the internal dispalay that are not meant to be seen, also the bubble seems to be right in-between the camera and the fingerprint sensor.
