I have been in a situation where my "BFF" hated me and treated me very wrong by I felt pity for her as she had no friends so I delt with it for 7 years but on the 8th year she crossed the line and I hate her ever since. Plus this hapend to me last year only and I stared to cry but then rembered she means nothing to me. So stay strong even if it's the person closest to you who made you sad.
I understand you, when I was 9 I had a friend and we hanged out every single day until the following summer where she found new friends and she suddenly acted like a whole new person. Instead of being that sweet, kind and understanding she use to be she turned into a cold hearted, bitter and sensitive person. She bullied me every day that summer and the following summer. I wanted to stop being friends with her but I was really hesitant to do so because I didn’t want to hurt her and break our 3 year bond. It was only till the end of last summer that I realized she had been talking behind my back because I found a piece of paper her and her friends were using as a communication tool. When I read what it said on it I felt so betrayed that day I cried myself to sleep. Since then I left the afterschool program after summer and I haven’t heard from her since. The only thing I have of her now is a friendship bracelet I got from her bc I somehow don’t want to throw it out even though I think of her every time I see it 😢

I was in a position like this a few years ago. I was bullied a lot for being “annoying” and “weird”. It really put me down. I told no one about it because the people who were doing it were my “friends”. Of course, being the 9 year old I was, I didn’t want to get them in trouble so I dealt with it on my own. It got to the point where I was depressed, but they kept on going. My parents noticed and kept asking me about it but I always said it was nothing. The kids who bullied me thought it was hilarious. I’m from a place where bullying made you cool. Finally, I couldn’t take it anymore, I told a teacher who was furious at the kids who did this. They’re bullying went from mental abuse to physical abuse where they would push me and slap me and punch me in corners where no one saw. My point of this story is that sometimes, people you call friends aren’t actually true to you. But that doesn’t mean you should give up on yourself. Now I’m very popular, no longer suffering from Depression, and I haven’t been bullied for a long time. No matter what happens, you always have a future filled with hope, so never ever give up.
