If it saves one argument positioning a van then it's paid for itself. A lot of 4WD carry "Maxtrax" recovery tracks and I wonder if these would work instead of your planks?
There are some flexible rubber ones that evidently work well, but the planks seem to work ok. It will be interesting to see how it goes in different circumstances - If Dan ever lets us leave the house again!! I've got a pulley setup in the ute so I can raise/lower it on/off a trolley so I don't have to lift it. At 22kg it's a heavy beast And it's taken me nearly two weeks to recover from lifting the spare tire off the back of the van!
@@quedecree After many of these type video's I'm sold on getting one that engages on the wheels. I had a jockey one and I got bogged on a flat lawn to many times.
Oh the serenity! Couldn't you find a louder one John? You'll be the toast of the caravan park lol!
I should take it down to Shallow Inlet and move the van around at 3am. Payback!!
Pmsl! Good plan! 👍😁
As I'm not using this as much as I thought I would, this one's up for sale in Central Victoria.
Still for sale ? if so how much please
@@fearlessfossicker3666 Yep. $1800. Been used twice - once in the video and the other time was pretty much identical use.
We love our ET, #893

Where can I buy it?
from Optitec.com.au
Do you know if you can rent one of these anywhere near Geelong ?
I don't, but perhaps you could post on some local caravan forums and see if anyone knows of one or an equivalent van mover?
Imagine having a 4x4 in the background and not using it
If you're referring to mine, it's only 2wd. I haven't actually needed to use the V3 yet, but sometimes you just gotta test these things out :)
Hi how does kit go on gravel
Hi Les, you can see in the video that I couldn't get grip on gravel without the use of boards.

@@JayDee-xj9lu Yes, I was hoping to get the purpleline movers but the bigger leaf springs on the van were in the way, hence the Optitec.
Hopeless, so now we have to add planks of plywood to the kit, Nah not for me
