Please after cutting facing for the dress and sew how do I keep in place so it don't pull after sometime. Cos I used hemming guy after washing it pulled out. What's your advice. Thanks
Thanks for the response I meant that after cutting the front before you proceeded to cut the back neck had you already cut the back of the material is my question?
Nice tutorial. I'm interested in your sewing machine. Is it durable? And can you advise a beginner to buy it instead of industrial machine?. I recently just started learning to sew.
Oh yes it's very durable. I've had mine since 2020 and I've had no issues at all. Although I care for it well. I oil every Saturday and clean the insides to clear the lint.

Weldone chioma, was a great tutorial Pls i have a question. My bust is 38.5, after adding 8 inches as you did It is exactly my hip measurements which is 46.5. What do you advise pls. Bcos is going to be tight at the hip Should i add 10 inches instead of 8 inches?. Kindly advise thanks Will appreciate your response pls
Hello, you can add 6 inches to all your measurements instead of 8 because you have hip. So add 6 to 38.5 and 6 to 46.5. You can make adjustments on the dress as you sew so it’ll give you the fitting you want.
You are a good teacher am looking forward to more
Great work God bless you ❤

No don't be discouraged. Get a motor for the black head machine. It's about 4k. Attach it and use it. That way you won't be stressed at all
I love your teaching
Thank you 🙏

Please did you use your hip measurement throughout or your burst

thank you for this tutorial, however when I connected all my points it was not a straight line like urs, please is that ok?
Yes it means you have curves. I don't that's why my lines are straight 😂
This is my favourite dressmaking tutorial. When I make the dress though, I will make it longer; just below my knees.

This 15.75, is that your measurements divided by 4?

Also how many yards of material did u use
2 yards.

Okay. Add the amount of allowance you want to each measurement. For instance, add 6 inches to your bust/waist/hip before dividing by 4

How should the length be extended if we want a longer dress? The way the fabric is folded wouldn't provide much material.
Oh you can measure yourself to know the length you want if this is too short for you. You can use 40 or 42.
