Hi Could you plz help me relating to GC valve box temperature that not return to set temperature and I had to make air connection to cool it up to reach set point.
Hello, May i know how much volume that i need to inject because my sample is on gas manual injection ?Do u have any method or any reference or video that i can refer for...Thank you
The volume of gas/sample you inject will vary based on your instrument parameters, analyte concentration, and the type of detector you are using. 1 mL or less of headspace may be fine for some applications, but other times 2-5 mL injections may be needed. This has a lot to do with what compounds you are looking at, and how easily they move into the gas phase. Additional videos you may want to watch: 7697 Headspace Sampler www.agilent.com/en/products/gas-chromatography/sample-preparation-introduction/7697a-headspace-sampler/7697aheadspacesampler-video and 7697A Headspace Sampler Method Development Wizard www.agilent.com/en/video/7697a-headspace-sampler-method-development-wizards-video or call Agilent Tech support www.agilent.com/en/contact-us/page for guidance.
This depends on a few factors. In general it is suggested to replace the Split Vent Trap at least once a year. But if you are running Split injections with high split ratios, and are seeing ghost peaks in blank injections, then you may want to change it more frequently.
Great video!

Is there any need to do this if you only run in pulsed splitless mode?
