Under the aegis of legendary producer Dr. Dre, Dawaun has spent the last years in a residency of sorts. He received co-producer credits on tracks on Eminem's "Relapse", which included the grammy winning, #1 single, "Crack A Bottle", 50 Cent's "Get Rich or Die Tryin' (O.S.T.)", Busta Rhymes' "Big Bang" and Jay-Z's "Kingdom Come".
Imagine just graduating from Berklee College of Music and a few days later you go from a dorm to the studio with Dr. Dre. This is not a fantasy for Dawaun Parker, this is his reality.
There are numerous projects to focus on, but Dawaun is gearing up with his first EP tentatively titled, "The Decision", due early next year. Parker steps from behind the beats on his very own song, "Lost" -- the first offering from his EP, which is co-produced by Dr. Dre. So, 2010 is the year of the official introduction of Dawaun Parker.

as an artist i think there's a journey that you have to go through to find your inner peace and the right state of mind, to not only make music, but to also advance your craft in writing, recording, and producing. D Parker will be ready when he feels its the right time to release new projects, or i may be wrong and the few golden tracks we get with his stamp of approval will inspire newer artist to make great music like he has me. they let him sit because he isn't marketable on the same level as the rest of their roster. look at their track record; Dre, Eminem, 50, Game, Kendrick... they are all on another level to joell as far as marketability goes. Game was only marketable because of fifty ushering in a new wave gangster rap to mtv america and his door wwas opened cus of em, and Em was only marketable until dre said nigga you a base head and jimmy called his contacts at mtv to spin his records not on mtv 2 interscope do well with creating hype though, kendrick had a following already, either way i don't really remember why i made this commen, if anything its cuz he is from new york with a new york slang and style which dre really has no influence with culturally
