    What a beautiful lesson Alfons. Felt like a thousands knot open in my arms and upper back, and then the pelvis untucked, and the holding in the knee melted. Thank you so much 🙏

    A short sequence, perhaps, but powerful! This lesson came along at the perfect time - I slept funky and my neck and shoulders needed a reset. Now they feel wonderful! And the magic of Feldenkrais also reset my pelvis. Thank you so much Alfons!

    Thank you Alfons, a wonderful excercise to relax the back and even the upper arm. Felt good in upper arms as it was being done.

    Love love this session. I even further invented some movements for myself but limited to the arms only. At the end when you asked us to stand up our up knees, I didn't know how to go further at my stage .

    "To Have or To Be" By Erich Fromm is a great book that heavily intersects with The Feldenkrais Method, have you read it?

    • @ImprovingAbility
      @ImprovingAbility  Рік тому +1

      In Austria Erich Fromm is really popular, a lot of people like his writings, especially his poems.
      I personally didn’t read much of him. How would you say do his writings intersect with those of Moshe Feldenkrais?

    • @kacper3240
      @kacper3240 Рік тому +1

       @ImprovingAbility The whole concept of the book introduces a differentiation between two existential states. (So here is the first similarity between the book and the Method, as in Feldenkrais we differentiate the movements, thus we discover a new quality of being and moving within the lesson). Erich introduces the existential way of "being" as compared to "having". The difference is huge. For example it feels so much better to constantly become a "man" and develop skills and virtues in order to do that, as versus "having a car" and thinking that having a car will make you a man. The being mode is about forever-becoming, developing, but never reaching something, as when you come close to becoming something, that something already changes into something else, because you have already changed in the process of becoming. So this is a never ending, self propelling process. In Feldenkrais you never "have" any goals, as compared to for example, working out in the gym, and having the goal of reaching for example 10 pullups. So Feldenkrais is about becoming fully human and entering the being mode instead of the having mode. This gives life more meaning and can cause insights into the mind by the way of learning the body. It is a wisdom practice disguised as a movement practice (more on that here ua-cam.com/video/9aXGD2PjS9s/v-deo.htmlsi=D28NKd_G9ERihgdp )
