Hey guys - just about to release a gallery to clients including digital files available for purchase and download. Just wanting to double check - in the access settings for the gallery - to ensure only the clients paying for the downloads get the digital files, what download settings do I select? It's currently set to ''Disabled" - is that correct? When they pay for the file, will they be able to download the file? Just want to be sure they're not paying for these digital files and then they can't receive them because of this setting? Look forward to hearing from you :)
Hi Nikki, yes downloading in access should be disabled if you are wanting to sell the downloads. The downloading setting in access settings is only for free downloads.
Hi Free, thanks for the comment, sorry for any confusion. Please reach out to our support team here goo.gl/Vtyde8 they would be more than happy to look into this with you.
A couple of questions. 1) If I would like my clients to just download a photo or multiple photos will the photo download without the watermark? 2) Can I customize a price for each photo? When I click on the price list all I see are prices for prints?
Hello Rainer, thanks again for your great questions. 1. Any Photo your clients download by purchasing digital products will be watermark free unless that watermark was applied to the image before it was uploaded to Zenfolio. 2. You can create a price list specifically for an image in a gallery, and then assign it to that photo. This is a little hard to explain here, if you want to join us for our Live Q&A this week, I would be happy to show you how this is done. ua-cam.com/users/zenfoliolive
I would like to set up a way for my clients to purchase a session that includes a certain number of digital downloads. If I set up a price list for digital downloads just as outlined in the video and did not set a price for them, would it be possible for my client to purchase the free digital downloads multiple times?
Kyle, great question! Actually what I would recommend is always putting a price on your digital products this way there is always a value attached to them. If you want to include them for free as part of a session package, I would do that with a coupon. Here is a video on creating coupons - ua-cam.com/video/3ay46uh4MAQ/v-deo.html
Cherry, thank you for the question! This is absolutely possible on the Zenfolio platform. When you upload a Zipped file it will go into your RAW file storage, you would then need to link it to a digital download to sell it. Here is a link with more details on how to do this goo.gl/Ng1LEF :)
Laura, thanks for the great question! Currently the only way to do this would be by creating packages, or creating a coupon. This is a feature we are looking into, however at the moment, you would need to create tiered packages, or use a coupon to achieve this.
Great question, actually you can sell Excel files, and even PDF documents, or anything else you want. You could do this one of two ways. (1) Using order approval, You could create a digital product that represents the Excel file you want to sell, and then once your client places an order for it, at the order approval stage you can just email them the actual file they purchased. (2) Uploading the Excel file into RAW file storage and linking it to an image file. Here is a link with more details on that method - goo.gl/O51WNV Ill cover this in todays live Q&A session as well, would love to have you join. ua-cam.com/users/zenfoliolive
* * * I'm a long time user of zenfolio. . . [ back when it wasn't capitalized... (wink) ]... I am considering using it as a sewing central for a blog, target links from an email newsletter, and also a spot to sell embroidery files... I think the download of digital embroidery files shouldn't be much different than digital image files... Am I correct...? It would be nice to have a gallery of the embroidery files through which the visitors might browse and purchase the files right here as well... Is it possible...? I think it would be great. . . Until that time. . . Earl J . . . [ TheEarlView.net ]
Earl, thank you for the great question and for your years of patronage! I am not familiar with the file type associated with embroidery files. However, this should be relatively easy to do. It would require you to have a jpg file to represent the embroidery file, and then upload them both to the gallery and link them together. Here is a help article that will go over this in detail - zenfolio.desk.com/customer/portal/articles/408278-selling-digital-products#raw-files
* * * Thank you for the reply... The embroidery files will be .pes for Brother machines and others for other specific machines, much like .cr2 files are for Canon and .nef are for Nikon... I like the linking them together... one .jpg image loaded for display and a digital image for the actual pattern of each specific machine that will be supported... I think that'll work for us. Until that time... Earl J.

There are a few factors in how to get paid for photos. One resource I discovered that successfully combines these is the Hartlyn photo pro (check it out on google) without a doubt the best guide that I've heard of. Check out all the amazing information .

Sorry but you have just jumped from setting up a download section for your client straight over to a client purchasing the product. There is vital information here which is missing so it makes no sense from a photographers perspective. I'm none the wiser on how to complete the process of setting up files for clients to download.
Kylie, thank you for the comment! If you can clarify what information you feel is missing, I would be more than happy to help with this. Hi, I am not aware of any integrations, what exactly are you trying to achieve?
