I just bought this great graffiti DVD. The DVD is on a bunch of LA graff heads. The video shows these guys painting hats, some shoes and a little silk screening. Cool stuff. The DVD is called ROCK FRESH, a film by Danny Lee. I will try to paint some more hats and maybe some shoes in the near future.
hi that was one of the best vids ive ever seen! you ve deffinetly gotta keep makin these hats cuz that was one amazing hat! please can you write me tutorial on how to make caps like that cuz you are wonderful!!!!!!
I buy my hats at a local shop here in Sacramento California. I know that the shop buys them bulk. If you're going to paint a lot of hats to sell, then buy bulk online. Shop around for better pricing and quality. You will find an online store with good prices but bad quality or the other way around. You might have to perches a few hats from different stores to make sure you like the quality. A good quality hat makes a big difference.
Ya, its supper hard to get the tape to stick. First of all the blue tape is good to use because it is made for paint. Its made to not let the paint bleed through. That can be a problem with other tape or cheaper tape out there. I lucked out with this hat it had a small lip to it that I could, kinda fold the tape around or under it. Thats how I got it to stick.
Watup Bryan!! Sorry a little late on the reply. I heard that the Vox is going to have another hip hop show coming up sometime soon. Keep rocken your work!
Ya, I know I have seen that happen before. I didn't spay the spray paint that heavy on purpose for that very reason. I just used the spray paint to give the base a good two color fade, and then used acrylic paint on top of the spray paint. Sometimes the acrylic paint will crack also. It depends on the hat and how heavy you lay on the paint. It's always best to practice on a few hats.
Hey, I used a DecoColor marker. You can buy them at any craft store. I will also use a maker called Painters. The Panters markers are cheaper then the DecoColor but some times between the two brands, you might find more colors to choose from. Hope that helps
You might be able to use duck tape but just use it when you have to spray. When youre done spraying then take the duck tape off. If you leave duck tape on to long it can leave a residue. That sucks. Hope that helps.
panal me gusta el graffitis en las gorras quiero que me des unos tics como pintarla tengo marcadores pero la esponja de la gorra lo absorbe como ago para q eso no me pase
