I had contoura vision done yesterday and my vision is already amazing. Prior to the procedure my vision was really bad. It’s the best decision I’ve ever made.

Got this done a month back in india(chennai vaasan eye care). Earlier i had a really bad vision, astigmatism is bity eyes, high spherical power, also a squint in right eye. Its been 1 month. Its good as of now

Eye ka numbar ka vapsh aashkta he kya lesar karva ne ke bad.
Done it 2 days before. Procedure was short and painless almost. While doing for the left eye felt a bit of pressure on cheek bones. Apart from that felt burning sensation for next 6 hours and slept well. In the evening things were looking fine except slight discomfort on the left eye and a slight pain over the eyes. Then the doc said he wants to clear my left eye once as there was a hair stuck inside. He did open the flap again and cleaned (I think) which took around 5 mins but no laser though. Next day doctor check was fine and doc said all good. Continuing with the drops as prescribed on 3rd and decided to take rest. Vision wise seems better though still wearing the protective glass and i think I can feel the difference only after 10days once I take head bath and get out for some fresh air. Though you can roam fromnedt day, I prefer to stay indoor until it heals well whichy doctor said would take 10 days however you can start your routine work by 3rd day. I am 40years old and was having power of -2.0 and -1.25.
It costs around 80k Indian rupees at Chennai, Tamilnadu, India for bladeless and 40k for blade. Doctor was good however I felt the next day examination could have been more detailed as he spend just 5secs to check my left eye and said all good.

1. Headlights of opposite vehicles looks like a spark. Not sure it was before too. Could not remember
2. Some sort of tiny shapes visible on my left eye. In fact those were there even before the surgery. Now i seems to feel they are clearer and i can spot them anytime when i move my sight on a white background
3. Some sort of dark shadow in vision i feel. I don't know how to describe it properly. My doc says my vision is perfect and nothing to worry.
4. In fact, if i use my old glasses, it looks blurry. So the vision is corrected but with small issues which are side effects of this surgery and normal.
5. US FDA started to review the Lasik procedures as there were many reported cases of side effects which patients were not explained
@@madhura4685 are you constantly aware of such issues and it goes in your mind whenever you drive or are looking at whiter surfaces? like is it an issue? Even mentally? In your daily course of life
@@deep_z One thing I forgot to tell was once I stopped the eye drops which used for 4 months, I feel better. Psychologically I don't see any impact as I almost forgot the block spots and only intentionally I look for them now. For the headlights spark kind of appearance, I tried some night driving glasses initially and I got used to them too now. I drove for straight 6 hrs on the 10th day after the surgery wearing gradient glasses.
The important thing is the side effects vary between individuals greatly.
You will much better if you higher numbers. Mine was just -2 and haven't felt much impact in my regular activities.
Also it's difficult to remember how it was before and after surgery unless you take note of them like how the headlights look .
Overall it should be ok to proceed if it's done at a good hospital and have higher eyesight like -3 and above.
What is difference between 2nd order layer and 4th order layer Countura vision surgery?
When i did the contoura topography test the doctor had me angle my head for each eye and was not looking directly at machine, was this normal??

@@caib714 I had astigmatism in both eyes and had a prescription of -2.25 and -2.5
I mean when they were testing your eyes with the chart before lasik, could you see the line for 20/20 and above if they put the right lenses for your eyes? My eyes could only see the line for 20/25 with best lenses therefore they said lasik wouldnt improve it to 20/20 :(

"Why would they say they'd get it again?" come on guys, its a simple expression of admiration. that if they had the chance to go back in time before they got the procedure, to make the decision again, they would always choose to get it. Meaning, they had no complaints and was worth it.
Also means with aging, if they have to, theyd get it a second time.

Idk about the corneal thickness, but with the other measurements yes. They go up to -12 sph and -6 cylinder I believe so as far as those measurements you’re good

Contoura is best and safest , but you need to have some corneal test to check whether you are eligible or not

they told me you will continue to get clearer vision over 6 months. If its not getting better go back and see your doctor.

can contura be done without topolyzer varion ???
This particular brand of vision correction needs topolyzer and it also corrects many anomalies of the eye apart from power correction. You can check on-line for other brands and how it is done. Also it depends on your eye condition and not your choice always.

@@palashsinghal2824 well bro, Its been a week since i had done this surgery. Here's an update.
My left eye's vision is almost perfect 6/6 and can see much better in light and much sharper if I look at long distances.
Now coming to the right eye's vision, my Right eye's vision is fluctuating between 6/12 to 6/9. I havent got 6/6 yet. But i can see much better in dark from my right eye. Also, I am experiencing some blurry vision and halos because of fluctuating vision. But doctors are telling me to keep calm as I had high eye prescriptions earlier; like -5.25 ! He said that eyes take time to heal. Sometimes It may take from few days to several months !! because your eyes are not used to see through the new corneal shapes.
The one thing that scares me is the word *refractive error* I have read on google that doctors do this shit while doing surgery. And they realise it later. This also causes blurry vision. Now if someone asks me about LASIK or CONTOURA I will suggest him/her to go for it at your own risk.
@@Ankit1543 don't worry you'll be fine justbas your left eye, just make sure ro don't rub your eyes much and avoid any water getting inside of your eyes atleast for 2 weeks. And you'll be fine :)

If you have -2.5
So laser would treat your cornea and help you restore natural vision , also it treats corneal defects . So you have high chance of having 6/5 vision. In my case I got 6/4 . For me it was like switching from 480p to 4k
But I have amblyopia so in one eye my vision is 6/12 but that's doesn't matter

Vishnu.G Dhulipalla it's been 2 months since I've had the procedure and I'm not 100% pleased. I still see halos at night with a little blurred vision. The doctor said that it could take up to 3 months until you see full results.
