You do realize that VA stand for VERTICAL ALIGNMENT. On Vertical Alignment Panels you should expect it... because its how the internals of the panel is designed for lighting and how it displays images.
Saw this...this would be a great budget monitor for casual to semi competitive gaming also since i'm in South East Asia, the online stores and physical stores that sells this unit has this at a sale right now so its less than a $100. Also they are selling monitor arms for this monitor, so i'm planning on buying this for a dual monitor setup with the monitor arms they sell as well. So its really a bargain for less than $200 IMO for 2 monitors + stand hahaha. Good thing you reviewed this cause i just have this in my cart just now and i was deciding in getting or the prism+ x340 pro😂

I mostly play mmo's like wow, where fast movement is not a thing. Like we don't swing the camera around all the time. Would you recommend it for that use case?
For sure, it just plays a lot smoother, I played a lot of wow during tbc classic and a bit during the wrath launch, made a huge difference going to a 144hz monitor.

i just bought this monitor, and though it is really nice to game at a higher resolution and high refresh rate for the first time, the ghosting was terrible and is kinda a deal breaker. I wouldnt recommend
@@terryperry8573 ghosting is basically when the previous image doesnt entirely disappear when the pixels change colors too quickly, so like if you are moving forward in a game your character will have a trail on it.
Im a sucker for OLEDS. And VA’s are closer to an OLED then IPS’s with those deep blacks and pretty contrast. IMO if it’s between VA or IPS, I’ll take the VA 10 times out of 10.
@@jamesmartin4531 VA panels have higher contrast typically than IPS panels, with the main caveat about them being they have bad ghosting. IPS panels have very little ghosting and great viewing angles but the VA panel is just simply going to look better than the IPS viewing straight on.

it says 144hz but actually natively supports 165hz so its great to me personally

Did you pick up this monitor? If so does it show the screen time in the settings? The amount of time that the monitor has been on it should show.

Return it. You can pick up the Sceptre E275B QPD168 for $20 or so more. It's IPS, has a higher refresh rate, and overall seems to be better.
