My significant other suffered heat stroke over the weekend. While I was trying to work through the implications that it would have on our lives. The forward summaries here of Gog-Magog cite simplistic and weak understandings - which is often the case of those that casually study these prophecies. It becomes very clear when one digs deeper into the descriptions of the Ezekeil Gog-Magog and the later Revelation 20 reference - as presented here. They are completely different in terms of: 1) leader (Russia vs. Satan); 2) place of attack (northern mountains of Israel vs. Jerusalem); 3) named targets (Israel vs. the "saints" (believers); 4) named attackers (a select few nations vs. all of the nations of the world); 5) how the enemies were defeated (killing each other and people dropping dead vs. a fire coing down from heaven consuming them); and 6) how the bodies of the attackers were disposed (buried by Israel vs. vaporized by fire from God). Anyoone who fails to dig to that minimal level of detail should not be speaking on the subject.

God doesn't crontrol the world, Jesus states at least 3x's that he , nor true father ever was ruling the world, but instead the "God Of This World " Satan was ruling it...thats why he had the power to offer Jesus all the kingdoms of the world...the exact same offer he made to the patriarchs.
Mat 28:18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
I hold the post-millennium view(partial preterism), which is that Christ's 1,000 year reign began in 30 AD at Pentecost. He commanded His apostles to preach the message of the Kingdom to all nations and for them to repent before returning 40 years later / coming at the end of the age, which was completed within 70 AD of the establishment of the Church which is the end of the age, or end of the early church age. Christianity by that time was reached far and wide; Africa, Europe, even as far as China and perhaps North America.
Satan was bound in 30 AD / start of the Millennial Kingdom, or His church. There is still sin, pain, sorrow, and death, but no longer the influence of the enemy.
The end of the age was 70 AD following destruction of the second temple / Jesus comes back to reign with the nations. Evident by the various monarchies given by Christ. I should also say, Jesus came back to wage war with all nations that came against Jerusalem, this is Armageddon, NOT Gog and Magog. Sin and death were not defeated but the influence of Satan was silenced. Some people were given glorified bodies and extended life (first resurrection), and some remained in earthly bodies, and experienced death.
Satan was released in 1030 AD, evident by a major earthquake that happened in Israel/Palestine in 1033 AD, a mockery of Christ's resurrection on the 3rd day, in this case it happened 3 years after Satan was released to deceive the nations.
I firmly believe that we might be in Satan's little season and are not awaiting a 7 year tribulation, mark of the beast, or abomination of desolation, which were all fulfilled leading up to 70 AD. On the Biblical timeline, we would be placed in Revelation 20:7 waiting for the battle of Gog and Magog before 2030. Precisely 1,000 years after Satan was released and near the end of his little season. What's so shocking is that I think we are just on the cusp of this war.
This is food for thought. I wish the Bible was more clear on timing of events. I have insatiable curiosity about everything, and not knowing the answer to questions drives me nuts.
