If they fixed all the leaks in the MTA bathrooms.. Private and public.. You would save about 10 million gallons a day.

don't care I learned about the sewage water treatment plat for the East Bay CA. We have a couple massive overflow containers that I think can hold 11 million gallons of water. Those are only used when it’s raining, and water leaks INTO the sewage system. Imagine how much leaks out when it’s not raining which is most of the year here

I tried New York tap water recently and was pleasantly surprised. It's actually very nice. I live in Adelaide, Australia, and while the tap water is perfectly safe to drink it has a completely foul chlorine smell to it. Carbon based tap water filter systems are very common here to remove the foul taste.

I live in wangaratta, and the water is ok but has lots of Chlorine in it as well. when the guy in the boat spoke of the town being there under the water it reminded me of lake Hume. And of the town they relocated Tallangatta.

New York City water is so clean and of high quality that it is ranked as the best tasting and best quality.
When i mention this to New York City residents they laugh because they think that I am making a joke.
They don't understand all of the planning and hard work that goes into the water system.
When I show them on Google they are surprised a and amazed.
It just goes to show you.

Thankfully nature also helps tremendously here--unlike LA, Miami, San Francisco, Houston and Atlanta, the NYC water supply has never been disrupted by prolonged drought. Precipitation in the mid-Atlantic and New England regions has always been plentiful and regular. It will remain so even under the worst case global warming computer models. Yay!

I 100% agree. An area once so prosperous with farms and community regulated out of land and farms have all but disappeared in the area creating a high percentage of poverty stricken communities with not many opportunities. They will expand and expand until nothing is left. They have even come for all of the affordable housing options and turned them into air bnb for their elite buddies from the city without a care in the world. They consume everything and buy everything reasonable or cheap and leave natural areas in ruins.
