Hello Luke and Mum , You have been very buisy with all those Sandbags ! , for those who have never had to do that Job , that was a great demonstration video , Be Well my Friends , Strength , Honour and Respect .🙂🍺
Thanks Bob! I wanted to put it out because I remember when we were looking into sand bags there were few videos even showing what sandbags look like, I do hope it helps people in the future👍
Another special shovel. You are very slick at that bag filling. If we flood here I will remember my sand bag lesson .Good lifting lesson also very important tip. 🤠👍
Thanks Charles, ya and if you ever are flooding we could be there to help fill them👍, sand bags are a very usefull tool to have(water stopping, insulating, and extremely bullet proof). Indeed the lifting is very important, each sand bag ways atleast 50 pounds, and mum has lifted them wrong before and it took a week to heal, I have too infact😬
@@lukeandmum If the ole river floods I would appreciate the help. I never thought how they ARE bullet proof. Yet more good information from my friend. Thanks man.🤓🤠
@@charlesshaw7801 We would be there just give a shout👍 ya iv seen them tested before, the sand bags can withstand all the way up to a high caliber rifle bullet. Properly built they could stop a few hits from a 50 cal.
Also, I might add, a nice lthanks for a nice little video to watch early on an autumn Friday morning...it's 6.20 a.m here, stlll dark and a bit misty outside. Better than watching the rubbish news! Lots of love and peace😉💖✌
Thanks Fionna, sounds like its very peaceful there right now, just love the early morning. haha ya anythings better then that rubbish, it just pollutes the quiet air;)
Great advice Luke! I must admit i've never filled a sandbag before! Those bags look pretty good too with the string already attached. My word, you have been busy, look at all those bags you have filled! I like that little shovel too...a really handy size.
Hi Fionna, ya we would be lost without those two shovels, and also without the strings on the bags it would probably take twice as long. when you first start its pretty difficult you actually have to get coordinated to to do it well with speed.
Great instruction video, Luke and mum. I always wondered where you got your sand bags. 🙃 I look forward to your build. No hurry.....I know how long building can take. The best to you and thanks. Your videos are the best!
Thanks Wyo Dino! Ya I think that's the best place for sand bags, there cheaper in price but also of high quality, and there sold in bulk just what we need. Indeed, slowly but surely were getting it done, though were slowed sometimes by our own busy ness, we have to many things to do haha😄
Hi fonaaldan, it’s a good idea, though it would need a pretty precise flow, and the over hang is really hard until it breaks ,then it usually crashes down, got half buried by it one time😆
Well id say you absolutely can Leroy, thing about sandbag homes is you can easily make them as big or small as you need. A simple one would be cheap and easy to build and also very strong and insulated, just sand bags and some barb wire to hold the layers together is the minimum needed.
@@easygroove you’d think so, considering the thinness, but ours are sitting and waiting to be used, outside, and still in good condition. Makes a very compact wall too.
@@lukeandmum i would assume that a wall from sandbags out of burlap is stronger than from Plastic.. friction... and such... - Burlap should hold better together ?!
@@easygroove you might be right there ya. Especially when dealing with water and such. But for what we are doing, this should work as a layer of something like wire will be placed between each layer then eventually it will be sealed with some kind of clay. Designs still being decided actually. But for a basic wall of sand bags I would actually agree that burlap would hold up better 🤔🙂

It’s coming along!
Hi Signs, good to see you! That it is, slowly but surely 👍😃
... Couldn't you place the bag under the dirt overhang, and loosen the dirt above it, and fill it faster?

Can I live in a sandbag home? I'm about to get kicked out of my parents house

Sandbags from plastic must be crap they need to be from burlap
